Netizens Furious At Teenagers For Mistreating A Special Needs
Person In A Viral Video!!
It is sad to see that
special needs people are still being treated differently in the world and
especially for us Malaysian, our younger generation should learn how they
should bully someone that isn’t ‘normal’.
Recently a Facebook page, Malaysia News Network shared
a video of an OKU boy in Kota Kinabalu that was mistreated went viral on social
media, and netizens are furious by this horrid scene.
Apparently, the
incident took place in 2012 or 2014, but it went viral again because of the
Facebook page sharing it.
In the video, the
young man looked to be around 20 years old, was seen wandering near a petrol
station. He was clad in a black T-shirt and beige pants but without any shoes
or sandals on.
A group of SM All
Saints students was taking shelter from the hot sun at a petrol station when
the young man moved towards them in the recording. He seemed to be excited by
the crowd of students and went closer to them, but the teenagers reacted by
screaming in fear and disgust while avoiding him.
A school van in the
distant caught the young man’s attention and he dashed towards it, it seems as
though he wanted to climb into the van from the back door. However, when he was
nearing it, the door unceremoniously shut right in front of his face. He then
went to the front passenger door and opened it.
As he was about to
climb in, one of the students grabbed him by his shirt and yanked him back,
where he fell to the ground. Confused as he looked around him some students
taunting him.
Does he need such
treatment? Netizens are outraged and criticised the teens for
discriminating and bullying the poor guy. Some even bashed the parents for
failing to teach their children how to respect people regardless who the person
was.
Here is the video of the incident:
