DAP already starting to distance itself from Mahathir as Non-Malays do not trust Pribumi and PAS alliance

I think DAP is beginning to distance itself from PriBumi and Mahathir slowly and surly after their Think tank did a research and noted that the Non-Malays are extremely against co-operation with Mahathir because time and time again he did not keep his promises and also jailed the opposition leaders and let the BN trouble makers go free.
What promises have Mahathir made to make life better for the Non-Malays other than get Najib to resign? All he has said that reforms can be discussed after Najib steps down and BN defeated. Does not have history promises kept but have history of not keeping his promises after the fact.

He is the cause of the racial divide with his racial policies favoring one race against other races when in power.

Are you going to trust him , no I will not and DAP can forget my vote. I am not anti-opposition but DAP need to be street smart and wise in their political alliances. Extract promises first before going to a pack with Pribumi and publish it in the media.
Read below and see how DAP leaders are trying to avoid him.

Dr M steals thunder from Guan Eng at reformasi event

Lim Guan Eng misses chance to speak after Dr Mahathir Mohamad's impromptu speech.

SHAH ALAM: Dr Mahathir Mohamad stole the thunder from Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng with his unexpected appearance at a reformasi convention today.

Lim was originally scheduled to speak at the event at around 1pm.

But it was former prime minister Mahathir, who was not invited to the “Konvensyen Reformis” in the first place, who ended up giving a speech.

Speaking to FMT, a convention committee member, who did not want to be named, said Mahathir had asked for permission to address the crowd.

“Lim came this morning. But the presence of Mahathir, who was not officially invited to the event and who asked to speak, affected the timing.

“Lim’s schedule was very tight. He had other engagements planned afterwards, so he had to leave.”

He said an impromptu speech by Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin, who was not scheduled to speak either, also delayed any chances of Lim addressing the participants.

Besides Lim, other speeches planned for the convention also did not go on as planned.

According to the itinerary, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Muhyiddin Yassin and Parti Warisan Sabah head Shafie Apdal were supposed to speak at 3pm.

However, neither of them showed up.

Another person absent but who was scheduled to speak was DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang.

However, Kit Siang did send a speech that was read out by reformasi veteran Ronnie Liu.

4-year-old girl in desperate need of lung transplant

This post is a public service post and please help as the innocent girl needs help fast

Klang – From the time their youngest daughter was six months old, B. Ganesan, 33, and M. Sutha, 32, have been desperately fighting to keep her alive.

Their daughter Uma Mageswary, four, suffers from cystic fibrosis and will not survive for long if she does not undergo a lung transplant.

“She was admitted on Feb 4 at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for two weeks. The doctors said her lungs were in bad shape and deteriorating,” said Ganesan.

He added that his daughter’s condition is so bad that Sutha has to do manual drainage of phlegm and mucus, from the lungs using tubes, up to four times a day.

“She cries and screams every time it is done and it is so painful to see our baby like that,” he added.

Cystic fibrosis is a degenerative disease which creates continuous lung infections and difficulty in breathing.

Ganesan said Apollo Hospital in Tamil Nadu was willing to do a lung transplant for Uma Mageswary.

“I contacted the hospital and discussed my daughter’s medical issues and they assured me the transplant can be done.”

However, it would cost the family RM150,000, which they do not have. They have only managed to raise RM30,000 so far.

“I am just a van driver earning about RM1,200 a month and I do odd jobs for an additional few hundred ringgit,” said Ganesan who has three other children aged 10, seven and six.

Ganesan also takes care of his aged parents who live with him.

“My wife and I are really desperate to save our daughter’s life. Please help us,” he said.

NGO Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII) director Firoza Burhan said a lung transplant was the last hope for Uma Mageswary.

“We understand the parents’ desperation and hope they will be given the necessary help,” said Firoza, adding that CDII was prepared to coordinate the fund-raising for Ganesan. – The Star
