Japanese Car Runs Exclusively on Water!

The Japanese company Genepax has unveiled a car that runs exclusively on water. They even have a working prototype that was showed off in front of the press. They claim that using only one liter of water it can run with 80km/h. Their website, genepax.co.jp, is not ready yet with all the details of their technology (in fact, it’s only in a construction phase).

Informations have discovered this far that their system runs on an electric motor powered by a water-splitting MEA membrane. Further details are not disclosed.
The video presented below is the first proof that their car works:

Stunning brunette won a beauty contest with this sultry lingerie shoot

But can YOU guess why the 20-year-old was DISQUALIFIED?

With her tumbling locks, sultry gaze and lithe figure, it's not difficult to see why this model won over the judges with her photos

Beauty contest winner seen in lingerie shoot is actually a man

Anthony Nagorny, 20, wore his girlfriend's makeup and underwear to enter

Student disqualified when judges learned the star of the photos is a man

With her sultry gaze, tumbling locks and lithe figure, it's not difficult to see why the star of this lingerie shoot won over the judges of a beauty contest.
The photos were uploaded as an online entry to a competition held by a lingerie firm in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, in the Sakhalinsk Oblast region of south-eastern Russia, and judges were blown away by the striking brunette in the pictures, who was eventually crowned the winner.
But a surprise revelation has since seen the 20-year-old student stripped of her prize.

His girlfriend, whose name is unknown, helped him with his hair and selected the four photos he eventually sent in to judges under the alias of Ms Avocado.

Anthony, a student at Sakhalin University, won the competition, but when the judges found out he was male, they withdrew the promised prize of a professional photoshoot.
Instead his retracted prize has been shared between three female runners-up by the chain of lingerie stores running the contest.

Lingerie firm manager Zhanna Stolpovskaya said: 'This boy looked very much like a girl. As pics were free to upload, he decided to participate too.'

The decision led to some disappointment from people who had spotted the photos on social media.

Aleksey Popov said online: 'Idiots. Now he can easily sue them for gender discrimination. And you might have thought that only women get discriminated…'

And Charlie Russell added: 'They are so full of s***. Why wouldn’t they announce gender requirements from the very start?'

Shocking moment car ploughs into FOUR vehicles

Shocking moment car ploughs into FOUR vehicles before the driver flees then two passengers get out carrying a DOG and calmly stroll from the scene

CCTV footage showed a red Peugeot 308 smashing into a silver car in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, before attempting a u-turn and crashing into three more vehicles. The driver was then seen fleeing the scene on foot, while a man and a woman who were passengers in the Peugeot were caught on camera emerging from the wreckage holding a dog, before calmly walking away as shocked residents gathered around. Police are investigating and have urged witnesses to come forward.

Corbyn launches Mission Impossible:

Labour leader claims he can beat the system to win election despite trailing May by 24 points - but he barely mentions Brexit

Jeremy Corbyn has used his first campaign rally to slam the 'wealthy elite' and insist he can beat the system to win. Despite starting the surprise race more than 20 points off the pace, Mr Corbyn claimed his radical policies can change the face of the election. The Labour leader promised his government would fix the 'rigged' economy that he will claim is exploited by tycoons like Sir Philip Green and Mike Ashley today. His first major speech of the campaign, in London, claimed that Labour will fight on behalf of Britain's 'true wealth creators', promising that ordinary people will win alongside him. Mr Corbyn barely mentioned Brexit in his stump speech and dodged questions on whether Labour would back a second referendum on the final deal.

Now Putin sends his troops to Russia's border with North Korea after China sends soldiers to its boundary over fears Trump will attack Kim Jong-un and trigger wave of refugees

Watch Video of Russian troops deployment at the North Korea borders

The Russian President, top right, fears there will be a huge exodus of North Korean refugees if his American counterpart, Donald Trump, launches military action against Pyongyang. It comes days after it emerged that China is also sending 150,000 soldiers to its southern frontier to cope with the tidal wave of North Koreans that Beijing fears would flee across the border if war breaks out with Kim Jong-un, bottom right. This morning, footage emerged, center, appearing to show how Putin is reinforcing his 11-mile border with North Korea by relocating troops and equipment. A video purports to show one of three trains loaded with military equipment moving towards the 11 mile-long land frontier between Russia and the repressive state. Another evidently highlights military helicopter movements towards the North Korean border and manoeuvres across rough terrain by army combat vehicles. Other reports suggest there have been military moves by road as well.

New Malaysian voters getting object as voters by UMNO

An important message from Elizabeth Wong. Please read and share to your friends.
**********

I was at the Selangor Election Commission's office this morning to check out the voter objection hearing process. I was shocked to find out a total of 354 voters from the Subang Parliamentary constituency (of which Kota Damansara, Paya Jaras and Bukit Lanjan are part of) were objected.

About half made it to today's hearing and had their voting right reinstated. Of those present, some took emergency leave, some took unpaid leave, some postponed work and meeting arrangements and some came at the eleventh hour after receiving the EC's PosLaju letter only yesterday.

The atmosphere in the room was tense and some felt confused as to why they were objected randomly. Nevertheless, every single one present were determined to make sure their right to vote will be reinstated in time for GE14.

After checking with some of them, I realised they were not randomly selected.

1. Majority of the objected voters had registered for change of voting address at the Post Office.
2. Almost all were Chinese.
3. They had applied to move to two seats in Subang Parliament ie. DUN Kota Damansara and DUN Paya Jaras - seats which UMNO has high stakes in retaining or wresting.
4. Majority of the Objectors (Pembantah) came from one address: No 10, Jalan Pekaka 8/3, Seksyen 8, Kota Damansara 47810 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. (This is the address of UMNO Bahagian Subang)

The process was thankfully fast. Upon being called into a separate room, they were asked a few questions: How far is the community hall from your house, how far is a certain petrol station from your house etc.

The more time consuming process was the queue due to the numbers that turned up. Some waited for up to four hours for their turn.

On the Objector's side (pembantah) side, only a handful, maybe 4 or 5 at most turned up. According to the EC's rules and regulations on objecting voters, each pembantah is allowed to object up to 20 names. A total of 354 objected voters would mean at least 18 pembantahs should have been present to face the persons they objected. Where were they?

Also seen was a man and a lady with a child in charge of distributing RM100 bills 'compensation' to the objected voters present. Someone must have upfront RM35,400 cash to this person to pay on the spot!

Kudos to those present and who were determined not to leave until their rights to be a voter were reinstated.

Please inform those who may have received a letter from the EC either by registered post or PosLaju. There is nothing to be worried if they are called to the hearing. If you are unsure of your voting status, log onto SEMAKAN DAFTAR PEMILIH

and key in your IC number.

We know there is only one party who fears new voters more than anything. Don't let them take away your fundamental rights!

Dyana Sofya, DAP’s Great Female Malay hope or a UMNO sleeper agent in DAP

Dyana Sofya, DAP’s Great Female Malay hope or a UMNO sleeper agent in DAP

Lately all not have okay on the political front for DAP’s Great Malay Hope  Zairil Khir Johari  after Tunku Aziz. First for reasons only know to DAP that he quit. . Penang government’s public policy think tank, Penang Institute and when on to head the Penang Football Federation. . Was he compromised by a UMNO deep seated Sleeper Agent Dyana Sofia and the DAP leadership knew about this and removed him as head of the Think Tank.

All about his alleged extra-marital affairs with photo and videos coming out now as Najib told UMNO to go in the attack mode. Elections coming soon and now is time to cut the DAP Malay hope down to size and his influence among Malay Youths.

Maybe wrong but there is no fire with sparks and Videos and photos do not lie. Can be how secretive but only if both keep the secret but unless one of them tip off the opponents and this gets on video. The place looks like a quiet place and they or he did not want it to leak out.

Damage already done and DAP need now to contain it and move on. Remember Dyana family has a strong UMNO history and he mother was also high up in Perak UMNO.

I guess this was successful honey trap by UMNO and they sprang it at the right time to undercut DAP’s Malay support.

Only guessing butt this Video and photos of Dyana and Zairil now coming out in the open more of a coincidence then bad luck. The UMNO machinery with the support of the Government agencies are too slick and DAP fell for it. There will more breaking news on exposer of the DAP Malays infidelity coming out in the days to come and more DAP Malay potential GE14 candidates getting compromised and honey trapped or liquor trapped or due to their homosexual or gay activities.  A few of them in last few years have defected from DAP when they were to be exposed for their homosexual activities. Food for thought and good if DAP screen these Malays who aspire to be DAP candidates do not have dark histories of themselves or they will get compromised.

Every Indian is special and VIP, says PM Narendra Modi after banning lal batti

Progress even it is slow it is still progress and PM Modi have been defying Indian taboos and logics for a leap to the 21st century. You need to whack the Hindu religious zealots in BJP because they are increasingly becoming the Hindu version of the Talibans

Every Indian is special and VIP, says PM Narendra Modi after banning lal batti

Come May 1, 'lal batti' cars or vehicles with red beacons will be a thing of the past as the government has barred their use by VVIPs, including the President, the Prime Minister and chief ministers.

After banning the use of 'lal batti' cars or vehicles with red beacons by VVIPs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said every Indian is a VIP.
"Every Indian is special. Every Indian is a VIP," he said on Twitter adding that these symbols are out of touch with the spirit of new India.

Seeking to end the VIP culture, the Union Cabinet today decided that beacon lights will be removed from all vehicles, except emergency vehicles, like ambulances and fire brigade.
After a Cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the use of red beacons atop vehicles has been a matter of discussion and debates for long as to why certain people have special privileges on road.
The matter was under discussion for some time and "the Prime Minister took the decision and informed the Cabinet," Jaitley said, adding amendments will be made soon in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules to give effect to the decision.
A rule that empowers the Centre or state governments to allow use of red beacon lights to dignitaries will be altogether removed from the statute books, the minister said.
"There will be no exception for anyone. The reason is very clear that the rule itself is being removed from the rule book," he added.

Indian politicians to face trial over mosque demolition and arrest , charge the Murders who killed thousands of Sikhs in the Anti-Sikh riots of 1984.

Yes this should have been addressed long time ago but never too late for justice and also bring the Murders who killed thousands of Sikhs in the Anti-Sikh riots of 1984.

Indian politicians to face trial over mosque demolition

New Delhi
 – Three senior members of India’s ruling Hindu nationalist party including a government minister should face trial over the demolition of a mosque a quarter of a century ago, the Supreme Court ruled today.
The three are accused of inciting Hindu zealots to pull down the 16th century Babri mosque in 1992, igniting one of India’s most explosive religious disputes in which thousands died.
The demolition of the mosque marked the culmination of a virulent campaign led by the now ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
India’s top court said government minister Uma Bharti, former deputy prime minister L K Advani and M M Joshi—all senior BJP members—should face criminal conspiracy charges, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
The ruling came after a lower court dropped the charges brought against them by India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), kicking off a series of appeals and counter-appeals.
“We have allowed the CBI appeal against the Allahabad High Court judgement with certain directions,” the Press Trust of India news agency quoted the Supreme Court judges as saying.
Many Hindus believe the Babri mosque was only built after the destruction of a temple that marks the birthplace of their god Ram.

Some in the BJP, which recently won elections in India’s largest state Uttar Pradesh, want to build a temple to Ram on the ruins of the razed mosque—an idea that horrifies the state’s significant Muslim minority.
Indian media said the charges would scupper the chances of Advani, now 89, of becoming India’s next president when the role becomes vacant later this year.
He was present on the day of the demolition, which sparked nationwide riots and thousands of deaths and came to define his political career.
However, in a later interview with the BBC, he said the incident had hurt him “tremendously” and should never have happened.
There was no immediate reaction from the BJP, but the opposition Congress said the ruling party had “tried every trick in the book” to ensure that Advani, Bharti and Joshi did not face charges.
“What they (Supreme Court) have said today means there’s clinching evidence that needs to be now argued out in the court,” said party spokesman Sanjay Jha.
The court also ruled that a fourth senior BJP politician, Kalyan Singh, who was leader of Uttar Pradesh at the time of the incident, should face criminal conspiracy charges.
His trial, however, will be delayed until his stint as governor of Rajasthan state is over because the position of governor gives him immunity from prosecution. —AFP

Adopting a fugitive in the name of Islam

Pity Zakir as he is a wanted man now and only country he can trust and con to give him sanctuary is Malaysia. The Middle-East countries will send him back to India or will have his head and the Kafir countries do not even want to allow him in their countries. It is a matter of time when the National interest is greater than Zakir, he will be sending back to India to face justice.

India is a bigger country and will start tightening the screws for Malaysia and make Malaysia realize that Zakir Naik is only trouble and soon the American FBI will have a reward on his head and declare him a terrorist. Make my works it is a matter of time not today not tomorrow but 100% in the future he will be deported to India without any fanfare as not to embarrass the Morons who gave him sanctuary in the first place
Remember North Korea, how they squeezed Malaysia’s hand and got the Dear leader’s brother’s dead body send back to North Korea but India will do more damage than North Korea did to get back the criminal Zakir Naik. Let the game begin

Adopting a fugitive in the name of Islam

Why the clandestine tactic used by Putrajaya to allow Zakir Naik to enjoy unfettered stay in Malaysia?
COMMENT
Fool hardy or a hidden conspiracy to overhaul Malaysia into an Islamic state? Either way, when Putrajaya dropped the bombshell that it had in fact given fugitive preacher Zakir Naik permanent resident status, the federal government’s desperation in ridding the country of its secular identity finally lost its eclipse.
Still, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi took his time in revealing what many Malaysians had long feared – that the notorious preacher has made inroads into Putrajaya’s heart, becoming its prodigal child, going on to enjoy the PR status and moving in and out of Malaysia as and when Zakir pleases.
That the speaker has been travelling to and fro Malaysia at his whims and fancies for five long years is not what leaves many shocked. Rather, it is the betrayal coming from Putrajaya that has left peace-loving Malaysians stunned.
Last November, the Home Ministry point-blankly said while Zakir had applied for a PR status, no approval had been forthcoming!
“He applied for a permanent resident status only and it has not been approved yet,” a top official of Ahmad Zahid who wished to remain anonymous told Berita Daily.
In November 2016, the Home Ministry refuted Indian media reports that the televangelist had been granted Malaysian citizenship as a ‘package deal’ when he was given the Tokoh Maal Hijrah award here in 2013.
So why all the lies? Were the denials serving as a trojan horse to pursue Putrajaya’s long-term goal of creating an Islamised Malaysia?
Then comes the question of how and why has Zakir been deemed worthy of residing in Malaysia, given his penchant for terrorism in the name of jihad?
Was there a consensus from the ruling coalition BN to allow Zakir to make Malaysia one of his many homes? Or was the verdict to give the speaker PR status solely that of Umno’s, the strictly-Malay party that is also the de-facto voice that has forcefully been charting the nation’s path?
Or for that matter, why the clandestine tactic used by Putrajaya to allow Zakir to enjoy unfettered stay in Malaysia and at the same time go about his public proselytisations.
Putrajaya embraces fugitive Zakir
Zakir whom Zahid has declared a ‘very wise man’ is wanted back in India for questioning but the former has refused to cooperate with the authorities there, fearing torture and is insisting that they instead question him in Malaysia.
The Indian police have announced that they are seeking Interpol’s help in detaining the preacher for questioning.
Zakir’s misogynist remarks that blamed women who wear revealing clothes for inciting sexual violence and his unreserved comments that al-Qaeda militant founder Osama bin Laden was no terrorist have all raised doubts about the his real motive in preaching the supremacy of Islam.
That Malaysia has willingly embraced a fugitive in the name of Islam is petrifying. Yet, Zahid very casually said that Putrajaya would aid India in investigating Zakir if only a mutual legal assistance was requested.
“If there is a request (from India) for our assistance, we are going to translate it by giving a full cooperation to India,” Zahid, who is also Home Minister said on Tuesday.
On April 15, the Hindustan Times reported that the Indian enforcement directorate had filed a charge sheet against Aamir Gazdar, a confidante of Zakir, and Zakir’s company Harmony Media Ltd, for allegedly laundering money on his behalf.
The 1,000-page charge sheet lists Zakir as an accused in the case.
The Times of India has also reported that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will seek an Interpol “red corner notice” against Zakir to curb his movements outside Saudi Arabia if he fails to turn up for questioning.
A red corner notice is an international arrest warrant circulated by Interpol on behalf of a government.
This came after the televangelist defied repeated summonses.
While countries like Canada and Britain no longer tolerate Zakir in their midst, Putrajaya on the other hand seems jubilant in having enticed the speaker to pick Malaysia as one of his many homes.
Denying Malaysia’s secular identity
Why the ecstasy with Zakir so much so that his PR status application was rushed through covertly?
Has the troubled speaker’s all-out assertion that Islam is the superior religion left Putrajaya horribly impressed that it behooved Zakir an asset to help further the Malaysian government’s Islamisation agenda?
Malaysia’s constitution identifies the country as a secular nation but the brazen move by Umno and its leader and Prime Minister Najib Razak who recently claimed that the BN government remains committed in supporting Islam in line with the Federal Constitution has once again challenged its supremacy.
The premier cited Article 3 of the Federal Constitution which clearly stated that Islam is the religion of the federation but other religions may be practiced in peace and harmony.
Just why an overzealous Najib continues to deny the fact that Malaysia was in principal created as a secular nation has raised suspicions time and again.
In one of his recent blog postings “Islam Under the Barisan Nasional”, the prime minister alluded to all that Putrajaya had done a lot to ensure Islam continued to grow and the Muslims in the country are protected.
“For example, in Budget 2017, I announced an allocation of RM50 million for government-aided religious schools and RM50 million for registered ‘pondok’ Islamic religious schools.
“For the first time too, the government allocated RM30 million to synchronise tahfiz education through the National Tahfiz Education Policy. This is an important step in determining that Tahfiz al-Quran institutions continued to flourish and grow.”
Promoting Islam and Ketuanan Melayu or Malay supremacy at the expense of the marginalised groups? That explains why the prime minister had no trouble turning a blind eye to the pleas of groups like the disabled community decrying the current paltry financial assistance doled out by the government.
Putrajaya nurturing extremism
It was also Najib who continued to up the ante against the opposition vis-a-vis Islam saying they had no desire to develop Islam and Malays in the country.
Resorting to racially-inflammatory rhetoric, the PM accused the opposition of subscribing to the ‘ends justify the means’ concept all aimed at ousting the BN government.
“The goal must be noble, the method must also be correct, if it’s not done in the right way, God will not accept our worship, everything must be right, if the method is not right, our worship despite our good intentions will not be accepted by God, and even in politics we have to hold to the principles of Islam.
“If you know the person does not like the development of Islam in our country, why associate with him or her,” the premier countered.
In the midst of all the racial-undercurrent being churned by Putrajaya, comes Zakir, seen as the the answer to Putrajaya’s creeping Islamisation agenda, never mind if it means that Malaysia gets busy nurturing extremism back home.
Ends justify the means, Putrajaya-style?

KUALA LUMPUR: Popular televangelist Zakir Naik had ‘inspired’ several terrorist attacks including the deadly Dhaka attack which took the lives of nine Italian tourists in July 2016.
Five armed men stormed into a bakery in an affluent area in Bangladesh, and later one of the militants, Rohan Imtiaz, claimed that he was inspired by what Zakir had said during one of his sermons that every Muslim should be a terrorist.
Speaking to Berita Daily is a lecturer at the University of Delhi who branded the flamboyant Islamic preacher as bigoted as other Hindu fundamentalists in the country.
“For me he is as bigoted as Hindu fundamentalists here (in India). He has a dangerous mind even if he makes ‘progressive’ noises on certain issues occasionally,” said the lecturer who didn’t want to be named due to strict university policies.
The Dhaka attackers were not the only ones who were ‘inspired’ by Zakir’s speech. In 2007, nine years before the Dhaka massacre, Kafeel Ahmed of Bangalore had carried out an attack in Glasgow, Scotland.
He drove an explosives-laden vehicle into his target and investigations showed that he was inspired by the Mumbai-born preacher.
However, the Indian lecturer said although Zakir had made several controversial remarks on extremism, there was the context of Hindu fundamentalism in India which targets icons like Zakir as he is seen as an easy target by virtue of being a Muslim.
“So many secular progressive people have seen India’s hounding of Zakir Naik as an example of Hindutva supremacy and hatred for Islam.
“That is how many have defended him.”
Zakir is currently in Malaysia and has also received an award from Malay right wing group Perkasa. Prior to the award, Zakir had also received the Tokoh Maal Hijrah award for his contribution in promoting Islam. It was also revealed earlier this week that he has a Malaysian PR status.
The Indian police have announced that they are seeking Interpol’s help to arrest the preacher for questioning.
Zakir said that he would not return to India for fear of being tortured and has asked the Indian authorities to come to Malaysia to probe him here.
‘Send Zakir back to India’ before it is too late for Malaysia

Meanwhile former law minister Zaid Ibrahim slammed the government for not having a consistent policy.
He was referring to the cases where the government had deported a group of Chinese ethnics of Uighur to China although it was clear that they will face torture once they set foot in their country.
The ex-Umno man added that Zakir was only making up stories that he will be tortured in India.
“The thing is we have no clear policy. As a modern country we should have a clear stand on such issues. The government deported the Uighurs to China and the Tamils of Sri Lanka when they know that they will be tortured.
“The government is doing a stupid thing by continuing to give Zakir awards and protecting him here. Malaysia cannot ignore India’s request; we have to respect it. They must send Zakir back to India.
“He is trying to escape justice and he is making up stories that he will be unfairly treated. That is not true. Zakir must surely have his own legal team. India’s legal system is better than us. Even the prime minister gets charged unlike us,” he said when contacted.

‘Anina the first victim of PPBM power struggle’

Pribumi is a clone of UMNO and it is UMNO and only not in name

‘Anina the first victim of PPBM power struggle’

GKCM chief Kamarulzaman says the PPBM Srikandi patron was victimised by political games within the party itself
KUALA LUMPUR: The patron of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Srikandi (women), Anina Saadudin, was the first victim of power struggle in the party, said former supreme council (MPT) member Kamarulzaman Habibur Rahman.
The chairperson of Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia (GKCM) said the whole fiasco involving Anina was unfortunate as her fate remains unavenged to this day.
“The Anina episode is very unfortunate. The PPBM Srikandi was victimised by political games within the party itself.
“She was the first one to fall victim to the power struggle in PPBM, and her fate is unavenged, even though the decision was made by only a few people,” he said at a press conference today.
Kamarulzaman added that some of the decisions made had never received the consent of PPBM chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Kamarulzaman had earlier announced that he was resigning from all his posts in PPBM and quitting as a member of the party.
He said PPBM has been ruined as it has been diverted from its initial path by those with a personal agenda and who are close to president Muhyiddin Yassin and vice-president Mukhriz Mahathir.
He then commented on the plight of founding member of Anina, who lost the Srikandi chief post after being caught in a controversy.
In December last year, Anina was stripped of her post after party secretary-general Shahruddin Md Salleh said the women’s wing was not yet established.
Anina believed that it was done in relation to a lurid text messaging scandal that she was implicated in the week before.
Still a PPBM supreme council member, the outspoken leader has recently commented that there is no possibility of her taking on that role again in the future.

Quotas insult the Malays, says Khairy - 100% correct thanks to UMNO and lesser extend PAS

Yes Khairy the quotas for the Malays are insulting and UMNO – BN have been insulting the Malays since implementation of NEP in the 1970’s and found it beneficial to BN-UMNO by having quotas to subdue the Malay population and a false sense of racial grandeur and the same token keep them unemployable in the private sector due to the lack of English proficiency  .The Malays have become a beggar race in their own country, thanks to UMNO and a lesser extend PAS.

Khairy if you care for the Malays , then set them free and if care about power then you cannot set them free as they will no longer be UMNO’s fixed deposit

Quotas insult the Malays, says Khairy

 | April 19, 2017
'You don't want people to say that you are where you are only because there is a quota system,' says youth and sports minister.
KUALA LUMPUR: Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar believes that Malays should view the quota system in the country as “insulting”.
His comment came after a Malaysian Indian said his aspiration for 2050 was that the quota system for Bumiputeras in the country be removed.
Khairy said he had often spoken to Malay youths, telling them they should aspire to be in universities which did not have a quota system in place.
“You should work hard to be where you want to be and deserve to get there,” he said at a dialogue with Malaysian Indian youths on the National Transformation Plan 2050 at the Putra World Trade Center here today.
“You don’t want people to say that you are where you are only because there is a quota system.”

Today’s dialogue session was organised by MIC Youth as well as several Indian youth NGOs.
Also speaking at the dialogue was MIC president S Subramaniam, who questioned what the retirement age in 2050 will be.
He said the question should be posed in the face of newly-acquired data that more than 500,000 Malaysians will live to over 90 years old in 2050.
“If we maintain the current retirement age at 60 years, the young won’t be able to support the older generations.”
He said after Malaysia’s independence in 1957, the average lifespan was between 50 and 60 years.
“This is why the EPF (Employees Provident Fund) had a cut-off age at 55 and the retirement age was previously at 55.
“However, moving forward, I don’t think we’ll be able to just stop working at 55 or 60.”

Feathered Eyebrows Have Become The Latest Beauty Trend And It Is Breaking The Internet!!

Feathered Eyebrows Have Become The Latest Beauty Trend And It Is Breaking The Internet!!

When it comes to our eyebrows, there are no limits to what we can do with them. We can make them better, we can make them worse, we can rub soap on them, or microblade them and now we can even turn them into very true to like feathers. Yes, the new brow trend has arrived, and it involves feathering…
See it for yourself!
Makeup artist Stella Sironen first ruffled some feathers by posting the look on Instagram.  From there, #featherbrows was officially born.

For the look, the hairs of the eyebrow are split down the middle using a glue stick, resembling, well, the quill and barbs of a feather.
Since the post, the bold brow has been tearing beauty lovers apart and sorting them into two categories: Hell Yes and Hell No.
But as it turns out, the makeup artist was just fooling around when she posted about the “trend” she was starting. But no one seemed to get the humor and actually took her seriously. So now #featherbrows is trending on Instagram with a vengeance.

In a second posting on Instagram two days later, Stella wrote, “note to self: when u make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and…well. start the trend.”

Not so sure how difficult it is to remove glue from your super fine and tender eyebrow hairs but we’re not jumping the gun on trying this trend out anytime soon. Would you try the #featherbrows trend out?

Penang’s famous ais kacang outlet to close shop

Penang’s famous ais kacang outlet to close shop

Four-generation family business Swatow Lane Ais Kacang to go on a 'long break' for the first time in 94 years, as search starts for a new premise.

GEORGE TOWN: Penang’s famous Swatow Lane Ais Kacang will close shop at the end of this month after opening daily for almost a hundred years.
The familiar family-run business will stop operating at the New World Park food court after having been there for about 15 years.
Prior to that, the business had operated at a curbside hawker stall along the adjacent Swatow Lane since 1923.
Shop operator Lee Eng Lai, 67, said they are calling it quits for now as they cannot afford the increased rental and other conditions imposed by the mall’s management.
He said they have “nowhere to go” after this and may even close for good. Their last day at New World Park is on April 30.
Lee runs the stall with his brother Eng Huat, 61. Their sisters Ah Kee and Ah Guat are no longer involved in the business.
The siblings took over from their late father Lee Soo Khan in 1963, when they all resided at Dindings Road nearby.
In 1950, Soo Khan had in turn taken over from his father, Kar Tee, who migrated from China and started selling “ang tau sng” (Hokkien for “iced red beans”) on a pushcart at Swatow Lane in 1923.
Lee said it is fortunate that his sons, Wah Onn, 34, and Wah Chai, 30, have helped out.
“It’s hard to find young people to continue a business like this. We are lucky.”
Legendary ais kacang
Their ais kacang is a delicious treat and part of Penang’s rich heritage.
It is a bowl of shaved ice with rose syrup, gula melaka (palm sugar) syrup, topped off with attap chee (young palm seeds), sweet corn, red kidney beans, and grass jelly.
Extra fruits such as chokanan mangoes, papayas or bananas are optional. However, many patrons insist on having them included, at extra cost.
Years ago, the red kidney beans were slowly roasted over a charcoal fire, which gave the ais kacang its unique flavour.
More recently, Lee boiled them over gas fire after charcoal became tedious at his age, Lee said.
“During my grandfather’s time, it was only ‘setengah sen’ (half sen) for a bowl of ais kacang.
“We have been very reasonable with our portions and prices. When we moved to this mall, we charged only RM2 a bowl,” he added.
Today, a bowl of Swatow Lane ais kacang varies between RM3.50 and RM5.50, depending on size of the bowl and extras.
The family have been going places with their ice kacang.
They often travelled to Singapore since the early 1990s to be part of the Penang Hawkers’ Buffet at the York Hotel.
The brothers were also part of then Penang Chief Minister Lim Chong Eu’s entourage to Adelaide, Australia, to serve ais kacang there in 1975.
After closing shop, where next?

Lee said moving back to the roadside along Swatow Lane, where they first began would be the best bet for now.
However, it would be illegal as the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) are no longer issuing licences for roadside traders.
“We always had a roadside licence. But after 2007 we never renewed it. So that licence is as good as gone,” he said.
Lee said sales have waned compared to the good old days. At the height of the business they used to make over 400 bowls of ais kacang in a day in 2007.
“But today, we make less than 200 bowls. Times are bad,” he said, hoping that the landlord would be agreeable to more reasonable terms that will let them stay on for another five years or so.
