Menteri Kewangan II no Match for DAP Puchong and pity the Minister it was Lion he was tangling with

Feel very sorry for the Minister as he got wallop by a superior being from a superior race. Yes I know how he felt and blame his parents for him to be born in an inferior race and not a superior race like Gobind’s. If he was born in the superior race, sure he can take it and whack back big time. It is all a dream for him

What a humiliating climb down by the Malaysian government - ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to be screened with no cuts

‘Beauty and the Beast’ to be screened with no cuts’
What a humiliating climb down by the Malaysian government which itself is a U-Turn government. Maybe an important man telephoned our MO1 from overseas who on receiving the call blackout and woke up shivering scared and had to run with tail between the legs

Golden Screen Cinemas announces the Disney movie will be screened on March 30.

PETALING JAYA: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will finally be screened without any cuts whatsoever on March 30, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has announced.
This comes days after Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the government was firm in its stand against allowing the screening of the film if Disney couldn’t meet the Film Censorship Board’s request for a minor cut involving a gay scene.
Nur Jazlan had said Malaysia had its own laws and culture that should be respected by Disney.
The live-action adaptation of the Disney classic was supposed to be screened in Malaysia on March 16, until Disney postponed the release of the film after authorities here made cuts to the film over a gay scene.
Disney said it would not show a censored version of the film and appealed to the home ministry to review its decision to cut the “gay moment” in the film.
“The moment you’ve been waiting for… Beauty and the Beast confirmed for 30 March without cuts!” GSC said in a Facebook post.
“Akhirnya (Finally) we still can #BeOurGuest! Woohoooo #NoCuts.”

Beauty and the Beast, featuring Harry Potter star Emma Watson, has raised hackles worldwide among religious groups angered by its depiction of Le Fou, the sycophantic sidekick to antagonist Gaston, as a gay man, making him Disney’s first-ever LGBT character.

Theft in Paradise - Kelantan admits leakage in sand mining dockets

Corruption or they call it leakage in PAS Shangri-La Kelantan. Why not use the direct word corruption or the honest word which is stealing. Stealing of sand can only be done if the Contractor , lorry drivers , enforcement officers, State mining officials and all who are involved it the theft of sand mining theft are agreeable. Are they willing to chop of their own people’s hands for stealing and if yes than there will be a lot of them in Kelantan PAS.

Power is a two edged sword and one is for bad and one is for good. All depends how one uses. Look at Kelantan not even an arrest by MACC because not that are no corruption and stealing by state civil servants and the political leadership but the Police and MACC as a Federal agency is used as a carrot and stick. For Kelantan this has helped to herd the present PAS leadership towards BN-UMNO. Nothing much to say about something which is rotten because whatever you say or do it smells the same a rotten smell

Kelantan admits leakage in sand mining dockets

State government expects revenue from sand mining to go up from RM600,000 in 2015 to RM4.8 million this year with stricter enforcement.

OTA BHARU: The Kelantan state government has admitted there were leakages in the collection of dockets from sand mining.
State Infrastructure, Utilities and Information Technology Committee chairman Hanifa Ahmad said the state government had intensified enforcement on the docket (a form for the production of minerals) collection and received support from the sand mining operators.
“For example, in 2015, our revenue was more than RM600,000.
“However, for the first two months of this year, after various serious enforcement actions being implemented, we collected RM800,000.
“With an average of RM400,000 a month, the government expects the docket collection for 2017 to be at RM4.8 million.
“The docket rate is at RM1.65 per tonne,” he told the Kelantan Legislative Assembly sitting at the Kota Darul Naim Complex here today.
He was replying to a question from Azami Mohd Nor (PAS-Kadok) who wanted to know about the leakages in the docket collection from sand mining activities in the state.
Earlier, Hanifa had replied to a question submitted by Md Alwi Che Ahmad (BN-Kok Lanas) who requested for a list of companies that succeeded in getting open tenders for sand mining in the state for 2017.
Meanwhile, outside the assembly, Alwi told reporters that PAS’ allegations that there were leakages at the federal level have now implicated things as well.
“Not only has Umno suffered leakages over the years, but now they (PAS) have leakages, too. This means that leakages occur everywhere.
“I have shown them where the leakages are, now the state government must rectify the problem,” he said.

Bravo - Johoreans hail Sultan Ibrahim’s affordable housing scheme

No wonder the Johor rakyat loves the Sultan as he is doing a lot for the rakyat. Sure if Sultan stands for election, he will win big for sure.

Can the PH governments in Penang and Selangor at least emulate what the sultan is doing in Johor? The rakyat in Penang and Selangor are hard hit with the increase in property prices and need help from the Government. Free up state land and sell to developers at reason price , so that the developer can build homes at reasonable priced PH to be Rakyat government as the Rakyat are also stakeholders of the the PH government as they are the ones who voted in the PH government in power. Please do not make the fatal mistake of been the masters of the rakyat as you were elected to be the servants to serve the Rakyat as you all promised. Come next election we may just change our votes to BN as they were corrupted yes but delivered on the basic services

Johoreans hail Sultan Ibrahim’s affordable housing scheme
 | March 22, 2017
People flocking back to state, eager for details of the project which will feature houses priced at below RM100,000 per unit, says report.

PETALING JAYA: Johor has become a hive of activity following an announcement by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar yesterday of an affordable housing scheme in the state with home prices under RM100,000.
Yesterday, the Johor ruler unveiled the freehold project to mark his 59th birthday celebration which takes place tomorrow.
Sultan Ibrahim called the project a “gift” for his subjects, adding that he wanted them to become “a home-owning society”, The Star reported.
“I want this to be a first-of-its-kind housing scheme that is truly affordable, offering the cheapest and best quality houses to the people.
“Imagine owning a three-bedroom bungalow or a semi-detached house priced at below RM100,000 per unit,” he said in a statement.

Amid growing excitement over the project, The Star said today that many had taken leave to attend the soft launch of Phase One at the Galleria@Kotaraya Mall in Johor Baru, while those working in other states had also gone back for the event.
They told the daily they were impatient for details and thanked the Johor ruler for providing affordable housing as property prices there were skyrocketing.
“This is a really fantastic opportunity,” one Johorean was quoted as saying.
According to The Star, Sultan Ibrahim said the offer was open to all eligible Johoreans, and that successful applicants would only need to pay a deposit of RM1 for a full loan with an easy repayment scheme.
However, in the interest of fairness, the selection process for the houses would be stringent, the report quoted the Ruler as saying.
The project is said to be under the Sultan Ibrahim Foundation and in collaboration with Bank Rakyat. The ruler said a total of 1,840 homes would be built over several phases at Bandar Dato Onn, Bandar Baru Majidee and Jalan Yahya Awal.

Road bullying: Woman shares dangerous encounter with bus

Malaysian roads are a death trap and thanks to lacksture attitude by the authorities on the enforcement of Safety on the highways. What is the point of having cameras on the highways when then Lorries and buses zoon at more than 120 KM per hour and use the fast lanes and hog on the fast lanes. I have been a victim of bullying by buses on the highways and they do not have a care about their lives or passengers or other road users. At all toll exits and entries, get a urine sample from the Truck and lorry drivers and this will stop the crazies on the highways and restrict buses and lorries to the first two lanes and the second lane to be used only if they are overtaking on a 3 lane highway and if it is a 2 lane restrict them on the first lane only. Have this operation continuous and only less them 70 toll entries and exits Malaysia Highways and it will also create work for our doctors and nurses who are getting graduated from local universities and colleges with no hope of employment. This way they get work and the crazies are off the roads. Ban the crazies on the first offence for life as that have no reason to be on the roads in the first place. A truck or lorry at high speed becomes a weapon of mass destruction

If it was me, I would just have his balls cut off as no testosterone will be produced and he will not be aggressive like a horny bull waiting to mate with a hippopotamus

Video shows bus driver weaving in and out of lanes on Karak Highway, slamming the brakes after getting ahead of car that honked at him.

PETALING JAYA: A road bullying incident last Saturday is now making the rounds on social media with the victim having posted the video on her Facebook wall the next day.
The FB user, Tunku Khalsom Ibrahim, detailed the incident as having taken place on the highway after she had left Genting Highlands enroute to Kuala Lumpur. She added that she was with her one-year-old baby and her mother, who was driving the car.
“On the way back from a beautiful wedding near Genting Highlands, heading back to KL, we were driving along heading into a 2-lane tunnel.
“As we entered, a red coach with Darul Naim 09 on the back, license plate WWU5909 came flying into the tunnel in the fast lane. He came in so fast it actually shocked everyone in our car,” Tunku Khalsom wrote, adding that her mother had honked the car horn at the bus, thinking the bus driver would slow down.
The reaction from the bus driver however, was to honk back, and worse, drive into their lane, and he stayed in front of them.
After her mother had managed to overtake the bus, in order to try and “get away from this dangerous lunatic”, Tunku Khalsom said the bus driver gave chase, weaving in and out of the cars behind them as can be seen in the video.
The video clip also shows the bus driver changing lanes numerous times without signalling first.

He came right up behind us on several occasions. He managed to overtake us, as I insisted my mother slow down with my baby in the car, so he managed to get ahead of us.
“And of course in true foul fashion he drove right ahead of us, intermittently slamming on the breaks and not allowing us to get past him.
“On our first few attempts to overtake him again, he tried to squash us into the divider,” Tunku Khalsom said.
The video also shows the bus driver berating the family in the car as he caught up with them.
Tunku Khalsom said that they were able to lose him only when they reached the toll on the highway.
“This is absolutely disgusting and dangerous behaviour! How can this man be allowed to drive a coach.
“He’s endangering the lives of his passengers and all the people around him, and for what? A little honking of the horn? His blatant disregard for safe driving and the safety of those around him is outrageous,” she said, urging friends and the public to share the video to create some awareness for this unacceptable behaviour.

Tunku Khalsom also said she and her mother filed a complaint with the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) and was awaiting a response.

It’s go, go Power Rangers as censors give the nod

First it was Beauty and the Beast, and now Power Rangers and what about Astro showing Scandals TV series which have an open gay character. Gays are also human beings and they are God’s children too as he created them too.

About Beauty and Beast, what a humiliating turn around on the decision to ban and then to unban the movie. I guess one phone call from the Powers to be in USA was enough to scare the rats in Putrajaya. Malu bro malu bro where to hide your face and shame on you to even consider banning and censoring movies..

Please do not shoot yourself in the foot again and again as I can help to cut your leg off so no need to shoot yourself again and again in the foot

Movie based on 90s TV series, is second one this month targeted at children to be screened in local cinemas with a P13 rating due to 'gay' character.

PETALING JAYA: It’s all systems go for the much-anticipated Power Rangers movie as cinemas have started selling tickets for its release tomorrow.
According to a spokesperson for Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), the movie’s distributor had given the green light earlier today.
“We can confirm that tickets are now available at all GSC cinemas nationwide. We are not aware of when the approval came from the authorities, but the distributor informed us this morning,” GSC PR and Brand manager Samantha Tan told FMT.
As of last night, the screening of the Power Rangers movie was still uncertain as the major cinema chains in the country had not started selling tickets.
The distributor, TGV Pictures, had reportedly said that the movie was still kept out of cinema listings “to avoid any issues that may arise, as the film is still undergoing the Malaysian Censorship Board’s (LPF) review”.

It is believed that the approval from LPF came this morning but with the condition that the movie be screened with a P13 rating, meaning that children aged 13 and under can only watch the movie if accompanied with a parent or guardian.
Controversy arose after the movie based on a popular children’s superhero series in the 1990s, was said to have the first “openly gay superhero”.
Coming hot on the heels of the controversy over Beauty and the Beast, the first Disney movie to feature a character who is gay, the Power Rangers’ Yellow ranger Trini, played by actor and singer Becky G, is depicted as having “girlfriend problems” in the film, according to early movie reviews.
As such the movie was believed to have come under closer scrutiny in Malaysia.
Yesterday, LPF conceded to an appeal made by Disney and agreed to leave Beauty and The Beast as it was without any censorship and approved it for screening in Malaysia.
The Disney production was also given approval with a P13 rating.

GE14 will be all about cost of living, says Ibrahim Ali - Ibrahim Ali at his smartest

Got to give credit to Ibrahim ali when credit is due. Turning out to be a very fine and smart guy. The valve of ringgit purchase power have dropped from RM 1 to RM because it means it takes RM 5 to but something you can buy for RM 1 ten years ago. The wages have not risen that much but the inflation have outstripped even the yearly increase in the GDP of the country it was RM 1.8 to SGD 1 and 1 RM to 12 Thai Bahts ten years ago but now it takes RM 3.2 to by a SGD and 1 RM to buy only 7 Thai Bahts. Soon RM will be like Indonesian Rupiahs as Government spending is one the super fast lane , government revenue in super slowest lane and Government debts is like an over flowing septic tank waiting to explode and spray all Malayisan with sit and shit

GE14 will be all about cost of living, says Ibrahim Ali
 | March 22, 2017
Perkasa president says this is more important than having straight fights between the opposition and BN, which won't necessarily guarantee victory.

KUALA LUMPUR: The cost of living – rather than straight fights between the opposition and BN — will determine the outcome of the 14th general election (GE14), says Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali.
At a press conference today, Ibrahim explained it didn’t matter whether there were straight fights or not, citing the experience of Semangat 46.
“In the 1990 general election, when I was the Semangat 46 Youth chief, we had a separate electoral pact with DAP and a separate pact with PAS, so we mostly had one-to-one fights between the opposition and the government.”
But even with this and Semangat 46 being vocal against corruption and mega projects, we still lost because then the cost of living was manageable.

“After that election, I studied global politics and I noticed that in many countries, change was achieved — whether through coup de tat or elections — due to the unhappiness over the cost of living.
“If they can’t change the government through the ballot box, they will do it through the streets,” he said at Perkasa’s headquarters today.
He said this was why BN – which swept to its biggest ever victory in the 2004 general election – faired badly in the 2008 general election and lost five states.
Ibrahim, the former Pasir Mas MP, said even though former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had attacked then prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the effect of this was minimal, as was de facto opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim’s participation in that election.
“It was really about the cost of living and the ‘BN=Barang Naik’ campaign because then the price of everything went up from sugar to petrol.”
Ibrahim said this was why BN would be in “trouble” if people were unhappy over the cost of living, even if they were given the BR1M financial aid.
“When people aren’t happy about the cost of living, they will want change. They won’t care who replaces the government.”

Think tank calls for recognition of UEC - Difficult as it will destroy the myth of Malay superiority

Think tank calls for recognition of UEC - Difficult as it will destroy the myth of Malay superiority. The UEC is far more superior to the STPM certificate the government issues for PRE-University. If UEC is recognized that the myth of Malay race will come unhinged. The Malay race is an artificial creation and also the Malay language is not an original language as it uses English, Chinese, Hindi, Sanskrit, Thai, Tamil, Arab and other languages words

An Asli official says it will help plug the brain drain from Malaysia.
PETALING JAYA: A think tank has urged the government to consider recognising the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), saying it would help plug the brain drain from the country.
In an interview with FMT, Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (Asli) chief operating officer Ng Yeen Seen pointed out that many top universities around the world had accepted the UEC. She said Singapore, Taiwan and China were in fact welcoming UEC students with open arms.
Universities that recognise the UEC include the California Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Oxford University, University of Cambridge, University of Toronto and the National University of Singapore.
“If we do not appreciate our own talent, others will and this talent will move elsewhere and settle in those countries,” Ng said.

If there were concerns over UEC graduates’ mastery of Bahasa Malaysia, she said, then the government could make an SPM pass in the language a prerequisite for recognising the certificate for scholarships as well as jobs in the public sector.
Ng also urged the government to consider benchmarking the SPM to international standards in order to produce competitive talent.
In recent times the UEC has become a contentious issue, especially during elections. Political parties tend to use it for political mileage. Supporters of UEC say Malaysia stands to lose out by not recognising the certificate while critics say it isn’t in line with the National Education Policy.
An FMT report on Saturday quoted Ng as saying that the Malaysian Chinese population was shrinking due to emigration and declining birth rates.

Perkasa: Can we implement Cambridge Accessible Tests properly? because Malay is not a original language and keeps using foreign words day and day

Yes the French , Russians , Germans , Thais , Japanese , Koreans , Chinese do not use English as a medium of education and your question is why Malay cannot be used as a medium for Education , answer is simple as Malay language is not a original language as it have used and continue using words from other languages as need to expand the Malay language. When something comes up to be explained , Dewan Bahasa looks up similar words in English to add in the Malay language. Only original Malay words are Api and Asap and not enough words in Malay to use it as a medium of education. Enough is said

Perkasa: Can we implement Cambridge Accessible Tests properly?
 | March 22, 2017
Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali, on the other hand, also questions the 'obsession with English'.

KUALA LUMPUR: Does the government have enough resources to implement the proposed Cambridge Accessible Tests (CATs), an English Language online teaching and learning method?
This is the question posed by Perkasa Education Bureau chairman Sirajuddin Salleh when asked to comment on the pioneer programme by the education ministry.
Recently, Education Minister Mahdzir Khalid had said the CATs pioneer programme would start at the end of year and focus on rural students, before being fully implemented within two years.
“Generally, we can have any kind of test. The question is whether we can implement it properly. Do we have enough English teachers in rural areas?
“Like the Dual Language Programme (DLP), not every school can implement it. Even in Putrajaya, I don’t think every school can implement DLP.”
He said if the DLP couldn’t even be fully implemented in Putrajaya, how could it be carried out in areas like Kuala Kurau, Grik, and interiors of Sabah and Sarawak.
At the end of the day, Salleh said any education policy must ensure fairness and not only benefit those in urban areas, as this will result in a widening gap between urban and rural communities.
“So English is important, but we must ask ourselves if we can effectively carry out the programme (CATs),” he said at a press conference at the Perkasa headquarters.
Obsession with English
Meanwhile, Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali questioned the obsession with the mastery of English.
Although he acknowledged the importance of English, Ibrahim said there was no need for the country to be obsessed with English.
He said in countries like Germany and France, the people managed to progress even though they had a low mastery of English because they were “in the system”.
“If we enforce the use of Bahasa Malaysia and make it necessary for people to get a job, we too can progress.
“Why are we so obsessed? It is as if without English we cannot survive. It’s as if without English life cannot go on.”
At the press conference, Ibrahim also announced that Perkasa would be holding a roundtable discussion on the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) on April 1.
He said the problem with the UEC was that it was being viewed in a commercial and political perspective and this wasn’t how education policies should be implemented.
“Education must above everything else, embody the spirit of nationalism. Then we look at quality and curriculum.
“We want to discuss the UEC issue academically and professionally, beyond race and politics.
“After the roundtable, we will present a resolution to the government,” he said, adding the roundtable discussion would be attended by education and legal experts.
He said at present, Perkasa was against the UEC as it was developed by a private body when education should be state driven, but said in respect of knowledge, Perkasa was having the roundtable to exchange views on the matter.
In recent times, the UEC has become a contentious issue, especially during elections, with political parties trying to using it as a tool for political mileage.

Supporters of UEC say Malaysia stands to lose out by not recognising the certificate while critics say it isn’t in line with the National Education Policy.

Now you are telling the Non-Malays after 60 years of independence - No need to add a/l or a/p to Hindu names

Now you are telling the Non-Malays after 60 years of independence and why now is it because GE 14 PRU 14 around the corner and MIC needs help. Poodah and tell these weasels go and find a shit hole to go to while waiting for the devil to take them away. 60 years of hoodwinking the Malaysia Indians and still help from non-Indians to survive. Can now go to NRI and remove AL or A/P and also can get NRI to change religion also.

This issue is a non-starter and parents have known that it was a tactic of British and BN to hold parents responsible for anything bad the kids do and punish the family collectively and also if one votes opposition and then whole family are penalized.

Home ministry says it is not compulsory for Indian parents to add them in their children’s birth certificates.

KUALA LUMPUR: The home ministry has confirmed that the usage of “son of” (a/l) and “daughter of” (a/p) in Hindu names is not compulsory.
In a written reply, the ministry said it was the norm for Indian parents to add these abbreviations on the birth certificates of their children.

“According to the present procedure, the National Registration Department registers a child’s information based on the application form and an initial draft of the birth certificate that has been approved and signed by the applicant, before the actual certificate is issued.
“If the applicant does not want to use a/l and a/p, the department will ask the biological parents or the guardian to agree or not to agree to using the words on the child’s birth certificate.”
The ministry was responding to Sivarasa Rasiah (PKR-Subang), who had asked the home ministry to state if the department had made it compulsory for Indian parents to include a/l and a/p to the Hindu names on their children’s birth certificates.

Poor foreign workers hit as Singapore scraps 2G network - this si progress and that is why Singapore is ahead of the pack

This is why Singapore is ahead economically in South East Asia as they take painful decisions to transform the Economy and they have the political will do that. The foreign workers will find a way to get the 3G phones and it is always the survival of the fittest which Singapore have shown time and time again. Who cares if the foreign worker have a phone or not.

A migrants group has started distributing cheap handphones to them and has appealed to the public to donate used 3G handsets.

SINGAPORE: A Singapore migrant welfare group has started distributing 3G-enabled mobile phones to cash-strapped foreign workers days before the city-state shuts down its 2G network.
Telecom operators in the highly-wired island will end second-generation services on April 1, forcing thousands still relying on it to upgrade their handsets or become a casualty of technology’s relentless advance.
Migrants group Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2) said the first batch of handsets was given to 50 jobless foreign workers late Tuesday.
The labourers are out of work due to wage disputes or workplace injury.
Many rely on cheap 2G handsets to keep in touch with loved ones back home while awaiting a resolution to their problems.
TWC2 said it would hand out 120 more handsets next week while some of the remaining 80 phones which have been collected would be given to other migrant welfare groups for distribution.
The group had urged the public to donate used 3G handsets or money to buy phones for the workers.
Singapore, with one of the world’s highest mobile penetration rates, is re-allocating scarce radio frequency spectrum to meet surging consumer demand for high-speed data.
But some 132,300 people in the city-state were still using 2G phones as of December, official data showed.
“Phones are a lot more important to these workers than to all of us who have access to computers.
“It’s their only link to their family … a very important social lifeline for them,” TWC2 treasurer Alex Au told AFP.
There are almost 1.4 million foreign workers in labour-scarce Singapore, many in the construction and marine industries.
Bangladeshi Ahamed Mohammad Faruk, 30, who has been jobless for eight months after his employer withheld his salary, was among those who got a phone.
He had been wondering how his three-year-old daughter has grown since he left for Singapore two years ago with just a few pictures of her. His old 2G phone could only be used for calls and texting.
“I am excited to see her (recent) pictures,” a smiling Ahamed told AFP after getting a touch-screen phone that can send and receive multimedia and browse the internet.
Japan, South Korea and US telecom giant AT&T have already shut down their 2G networks and Australia is set to stop the service in September.
But globally, 2G is not set to vanish, even as the number of smartphones is projected to soar from four billion last year to some six billion by 2020, according to IHS Markit data.
