According to him, 11 shots were fired in the incident and no policeman was injured.

Frustrated With Announcement Of Train Delay, Man Furiously Yells On A Platform In Singapore

We’ve all felt frustrations with train delays and cancellations, but spare a though for this particularly irate passenger on a platform in Singapore.

The man was caught on camera yelling furiously at the broadcasting system when the announcement of the train delay was made.

According to StompSg, at first the impatient and visibly agitated man was yelling at fellow commuters to hurry up and board the train, attributing the train’s delay to them being slow.

In the video, the man could be heard shouting:

“Faster!

“Hello…hello… faster!

He then gestured to a fellow passenger, simply implying that he had been waiting a long time for the train to move off. He went on to complain how slow the train was. It was then a message was played over the broadcasting systems, reminding passengers that the train had been delayed.

The man, even more infuriated, started hurling vulgarities at the system, while some passengers could be heard laughing in the background.

Here’s the hilarious video:

Son Attacks His Father With a Machete! What Kind of Son…!

Two viral videos features a son attacking his own father with a machete while his mother attempted to stop the two, is now circulating the internet. It is apparently noted by some others that basing on the words spoken and said in the video, the person who recorded the video is most likely the sister to the man who decided to attack his own elderly father.

The videos began splat in the middle of the fight and argument itself, not making it known how did the fight began or what caused the whole thing. However, it can be noted that the violence is apparent and that a lot of netizens are angry that this even happened in a family, and it can be seen that the family lives a frugal and poor life, considering the environment that can be seen in the video itself. The machete that is featured is curved, and whether or not it has injured anyone in the video directly is not quite known, although the parents and the son must have had to sustain quite a number of injuries throughout the skirmish.

The videos show clearly that this is a genuine fight, whereby the video also contains the injuries that the father has received.

This video was captioned with an intention to call out on the son’s behaviour and how terrible he was throughout the recording, although commenters were also angry about the person who was recording for only recording while yelling without physically involving herself. The video features the person recording yelling, sometimes even calling out to the father (possibly going “ayah! ayah!”) and afraid to join in the skirmish, and feels the need to record in order to let the world know of the situation.

If there are more information regarding this case please inform us and this article will be updated whenever required, hoping that justice will be served to the son.

SON OF COFFEE-SHOP OWNER FINDS OVER $1 MIL STASHED AWAY IN FATHER’S CEILING

As kids, we’ve all heard that a pot of gold can be found at the end of a rainbow, but for the son of a coffeeshop owner, the treasure was stashed away in his father’s ceiling.

The man, the second in line of four brothers, was fixing a heater in his father’s bungalow, when he discovered more than $1,000,000 in cash hidden in the plastered ceiling, reports Lianhe Wanbao.

Upon the discovery, the coffeeshop owner decided to bestow the money on two of his children, his second and youngest sons, who are 56 years old and 45 years old respectively.

Their father has since passed away on May 28, 2010.

He was 80 years of age, and survived by seven children — three daughters and four sons.
After his passing, the youngest son denied having received any money, and took an additional $500,000 from the assets left behind.

This led to a family dispute which subsequently led to a lawsuit, in which the two son, who is also the appointed executor of his father’s will, accused his youngest brother of redrawing $500,000 and $613,000 on two separate occasions in 2010.

He also claimed that the accused took two Rolex watches.

The accused has denied his accusations, claiming that their father had gifted him the $500,000 before his death and told him to take another $613,000 from inheritance to pay for miscellaneous expenses and the cost of looking after their mother.

The Supreme Court has awarded the case to the plaintiff.

The Court noted that the plaintiff found the cash, which amounted to more than $1,000,000 in the plastered ceiling between 1992 and 1994 while fixing a heater.

After which, his father had generously given $500,000 to him and his youngest brother.

The plaintiff then engaged a bank employee, who deposited the sum into various accounts.

The plaintiff also maintained that his father had intended to give the accused $500,000, and had wired the money into the accused’s account while he was alive.

The judge pointed out that the discovery of the cash happened over 20 years ago, and the accused had no evidence to substantiate his claims that his father had approved his drawing out of money, even on grounds of looking after the estate and his mother.

The judge has ordered the accused to pay $1,113,000, with additional interests to the plaintiff, the executor of his father’s will.

Supt Mohamad Zainal said,

“She had sent a picture to her husband claiming that she had been tied up and abducted. She had also sent a voice mail asking for help.

“We found out that she was working at a kindergarten in Shah Alam on Tuesday. She was promptly arrested.”

‘China-Pakistan Love Corridor’ Goes Viral! PIA Pilot Under Fire For Breaking Flight Rules!!!

Aiyoo…one airline problem after another!

Just recently, it was reported that the national air carrier of Pakistan has been overflooded with controversies and lacklustreness due to a host of different reasons.

What’s ‘interesting’ is that this time around, a Chinese woman was recorded coming out of the PIA cockpit after spending TWO HOURS in there with the pilot and no other staff was present.

One can only wonder what took her so long…

Apparently, a concerned Pakistani that was also onboard the PIA 853 that was flying from Tokyo to Beijing was the man behind the camera. He was quick to question her actions and asked if she had enjoyed the landing or if she knew the pilot on a personal level.

Obviously, just like a tigress who got her tail stepped on, the woman quickly got offended by the man and asked him why he was filming their conversation. She even went to the PIA staffs to complain, in which the man retaliated with an assurance that he was going to file a complaint against her.

It seems that PIA Captain Shahzad Aziz had personally invited the lady into his cabin during the flight. It was noted that the Chinese lady only returned to her seat after the flight had landed in Beijing.

You must be wondering what’s the big deal, right? Well, to simply put it, it is against entire PIA and international flight policies that a passenger remains inside the captain’s cockpit.

Now, naturally, we all are basically just thinking of the same thing, hence why this matter got on to the social media with lightning speed. People now are assuming that the pilot and the female passenger had an intimate connection and labelling the incident as ‘China-Pakistan Love Corridor’.

The matter is being investigated now…so who wants to bet what was the ‘storyline’ of these two?!

Top 10 Countries with the Highest Rate of Theft & Tips for Theft Prevention

When traveling abroad, you often want to bring your computer, a camera, cell phone and some nice jewelry for wearing out, but according to international robbery crime statistics, traveling with these valuables can be dangerous and make you more prone to theft.

Tips for Theft PreventionIn a recent survey by Gallup Analytic that looked at theft around the globe, the theft rate in the United States came in at around 17 percent, meaning these respondents were the victims of some sort of robbery—being a mugging (bag-snatching), car theft or theft with threat. According to the Disaster Center’s U.S. crime rates, the amount of thefts in 2013 registered 1,899.4 thefts per 100,000 people.

If you’re talking about car thefts, the car theft capital of the world seems to change every year, with places such as Italy, France, the U.S., and Switzerland all taking top spots in the last decade according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Others on the list include New Zealand, England & Wales, Sweden, Australia and Denmark.

As for theft of more common items like money, credit cards, cameras, cell phones and other electronics, here are the top 10 countries with the highest theft rate per 100,000 inhabitants.

Belgium: While Belgium is considered rather safe when it comes to its low number of violent crimes, it is one of the worst in the world when it comes to theft. According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s most recent findings (from 2012), Belgium reported 191,126 robberies that year, a rate of 1,728.1 per 100,000 people. Car theft is quite common in Belgium. The 2013 Crime & Safety Report by the U.S. Department of State, warns that robbers often loiter in transportation hubs like the Metro and train stations to take advantage of disoriented or distracted travelers.

Spain: Spain is another country that is considered relatively safe for travel, with low crime rates. However, theft is prevalent, with 502,546 reported robberies in 2012, a rate of 1,074.9 per 100,000 people. One common occurrence amongst thieves is that they will pose as plainclothes police, flashing what appears to be a badge with credentials and asking a “victim” for identification while an accomplice takes his or her valuables. Be wary of a non-uniformed officer suspicious.

Mexico: Organized crime is prevalent in Mexico and while theft may be considered small-time for some, many of the crime lords run large operations. Mexico with 746,894 robberies in 2012, a rate of 618 per 100,000 people, has seen an increase in thefts over the last decade. Foreigners seem to be the targets of choice for pickpockets and thieves, who operate in hotel lobbies, restaurants, public transit systems, airports, and other areas frequented by tourists. Credit card numbers, debit cards and cell phones are among the most stolen items.

Costa Rica: The U.S. Department of State released a warning last year naming Costa Rica as a place where theft runs rampant. Petty theft is very common in highly populated and tourist areas which include pickpocketing, mugging and purse snatching. Try not to leave electronics or personal information in your car as vehicle break-ins (especially rental cars) are common. If there’s a safe at the hotel, use it, and try to limit carrying valuables with you. Costa Rica has 25,066 robberies in 2012, a rate of 521.6.1 per 100,000 people.

Brazil: Crime rates overall in Brazil are high with 979,571 reported robberies in 2012, a rate of 493.1 per 100,000 people. Amongst the cities with the highest crimes include Manaus, Fortaleza and Salvador. In Amazonas in 2012, there were 1038.4 thefts registered for every 100,000 inhabitants. Keep cameras, phones and money close to the vest and never flaunt these items in low-populated places.

Chile: It was only about 9 months ago that thieves took off with $10 million from an armored car in Chile—a record theft in the country. But large attacks like that are only part of the growing problem of theft. The country registered 81.644 robberies in 2012, a rate of 467.6 per 100,000 people—which almost doubled what it had been six years earlier. Vina del Mar/Valparaiso and Pucon/Villarica in the summer are a hotbed for robberies when the streets and establishments are crowded.

Uruguay: The World Bank names Uruguay as one of the worst places for theft—but that factors in a great deal of car theft. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s report show that there were 15,414 robberies in 2012, a rate of 454 per 100,000 people. Violent crime is also on the uptick in the country, so be vigilant and stay in touristy areas.

Rounding out the top 10 of the most reported theft rates around the world are Trinidad and Tobago, with 4,436 robberies in 2012, a rate of 331.7 per 100,000 people; Panama, with 10,038 robberies in 2012, a rate of 264 per 100,000 people; and Honduras with 17,980 robberies in 2012, a rate of 226.6 per 100,000 people.

Tips to Prevent Theft

There are many safeguards you can take to protect yourself from theft. Here’s a list of 10 ways to stay protected.

1. Log your possessions: Before taking off on a trip, take a few moments and jot down a list of the items you’re taking with you—especially jewelry, electronics and anything valuable that might be coming along. Take photos of these items as well, and store both the list and images on your computer, phone and/or cloud, so if something goes missing, you have a record of it and can prove you had the item in the first place.

2. Bring a backup credit card: If you do fall victim to a thief or lose your credit card, having a second one will allow you to continue with your trip and pay for hotels and other travel-related expenses. Just be sure not to keep it in the same place as your other one, or you might lose both together.

3. Separate your money: Just as you don’t want to keep both credit cards in one place, keeping all your money in your wallet or purse is also a bad idea. Hide some money in your luggage and divide money in different pockets so that if some goes missing, you will also have cash to fall back on.

4. Use ATMs wisely: While it might be smart not to carry a lot of cash on you and only take out money when needed, ATMs are a breeding ground for thieves, so be sure that you protect yourself whenever you go and get cash. Try to go with someone, who can watch the people around you as you enter your info. When you take your money out, try to hide what pocket you put it in, mixing up your hands. Finally, if you notice someone following you, head inside the nearest public space.

5. Backup photo documents: In today’s technological world, it’s easy to scan your documents (license, passport, visa) or take photos and keep them stored on your laptop or phone. This is a great safeguard in case someone takes off with your originals. Be sure to store them in a safe cloud as well, so you can view them whenever you need.

6. Use the hotel safe: You might think your valuables are better off with you, but if you’re not going to be wearing that jewelry or you won’t have need for your passport until your flight, store them away in the hotel’s safe. This will provide much better protection than anything you have in the room, and hotels are almost always insured.

7. Walk against traffic: When people think of having a wallet or phone lifted, they envision a pickpocket knocking into them, but there’s just as much chance of theft from someone riding a motorbike and snagging it out of your hands. By walking against traffic, you can see who’s heading in your direction and keep these “muggers on wheels” away.

8. Review your purchases: It is helpful to check in on your credit card statement and see the purchases happening each day via your computer or by calling the number on the back of your card. If you find that there are charges you haven’t made, cancel the card and use your backup. One problem with using the computer is the connection could be compromised, so try to only do so from a credible hotel.

9.  Record important financial information and phone numbers: Keep a list of your credit card numbers, bank account numbers and any important phone numbers separate from the rest of your stuff—and out of sight from anyone who might be snooping around your possessions. This way, if anything is stolen, you won’t panic over not knowing what you need to know to fix the problem quickly.

10. Tell people where you’re going: It’s always a smart decision to let a friend or family member know where you’ve landed, so if something were to happen, they could help. Posting photos on Facebook or Instagram will also let people know where you’re at, and keep people in the loop of your travels.

A great way to put the worry behind you is with a global insurance policy that covers theft when you travel overseas. Clements offers International Property Insurance, which provides full replacement cost of your valuables while traveling, inside your home abroad, or during a move.

24-Year-Old Chemist Suffers Cuts After Fighting Off Robber During Her Evening Jog!!!

GEORGETOWN: On Tuesday around 7.30pm, a 24-year-old chemist was ambushed and robbed by a foreign construction worker. It was reported by The Star that the man had grabbed the victim by her hair and held her at knife-point.

The chemist did not give up that easily and put up a fight during the attack on the jogging track that was parallel to Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.

During their scuffle, the man had cut her left calf and wrist. After injuring the victim, the foreign worker fled the scene. As the victim was receiving first aid, pictures of her were taken.

The pictures that were shared all over the social media showed her open wounds that were bleeding profusely.

The Police were quick to investigate the matter and found lead to a nearby construction site a few hours after the robbery occurred.

“We found a knife and a striped T-shirt believed to be worn by him during the attack.”

“The suspect is an illegal immigrant and has been detained for two weeks under the Immigration Act.”

“When the woman is discharged from the hospital, we will ask her to identify the suspect.”

It was also suspected that the robber had taken the victim’s handphone because it was nowhere to be found after the attack. It is apparent that the police ruled out the possibility of a sexual assault as they believe that the man groped her body to search for valuables.

Girls and boys do carry along a form protection with you whenever you are out and about. There’s no telling when these rotten apples will attack

UMNO final party before the Grand Funeral at PRU - GE 14

UMNO VETERANS SOUND THE DEATH KNELL FOR OWN PARTY: THE ‘TRUE’ UMNO WOULD NOT BURDEN ITS OWN RACE & SHAME THE COUNTRY

AFTER more than 70 years of leading the country, Umno no longer represents the aspirations of the people who have largely lost faith in the party.

“Umno has lost its spirit, identity and integrity and it no longer inspires the people,” said Umno veteran Zainudin Maidin.

Zainudin, who was formerly chief editor of Malay-language paper Utusan Melayu, said he had covered all of the country’s former prime ministers as a journalist, adding that the current era was the worst that Umno has ever experienced with the loss of confidence, economic downturn and political instability.

“The Malays once lost confidence in the leadership of Tunku (Abdul Rahman), but they never lost confidence in Umno.

“Now, they have not only lost confidence in the leadership, but also in Umno,” he said.
Former Wanita Selangor chief Rakibah Abdul Manap said she was disappointed that Umno was now despised and shunned by the people.

“In the past, we wore our Umno uniform with pride and dignity. Others, the opposition, feared us but it’s different now. Umno is shunned,” she told The Malaysian Insight.

After more than three decades of being in Umno, Rakibah said she was disappointed that iconic leaders, such as Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Muhyiddin Yassin, were no longer with the party.

“(Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin) were people I once loved and respected. I don’t understand why it has become like this.

“If the leaders of today are wrong, then they should treat them like their own children and advise them nicely. That’s how you show responsibility and love for one another. But now, after a small mistake, they leave the party.”

Dr Mahathir formed Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) last year with former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin.

Former Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Junid says the present crop of Umno leaders are only interested to enrich themselves. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 11, 2017.

Former Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Junid, who followed Dr Mahathir’s decision to leave, said Umno no longer existed in its original form and has abandoned its struggles.

“I’m actually not interested in thinking about the Umno I used to be a member of because I feel that it no longer exists.

“(It is now) a party with the same name (but) does not have the spirit and goals of the Umno that I used to be a part of,” he told The Malaysian Insight in a text message.

He said Umno leaders of the past would never be “entrapped in money” as the current crop of leaders were.

“The true Umno will not burden its own race and shame the country. The Umno leaders that I know, whatever their weaknesses, would not fear taking the side of truth.”

LEADERS TO HEED CALLS FOR CHANGE, SYED ALI PREDICTS ‘TSUNAMI UMNO’

Emphasising the need to embrace change, Johor Menteri Besar Khaled Nordin said Umno cannot rest on its laurels.

Khaled said the party, which celebrates its 71st anniversary today, should not depend on nostalgia, where tales of its past struggles are repeated.

Umno, he added, cannot remain as an “archive or story teller (penglipur lara)”.

Calling on the party to be more realistic and open, Khaled said: “Umno must see the surrounding situation and listen to the demands for change, which are not only present in all corners of the nation, but also reverberate within Umno itself.”

The menteri besar said it is imperative that Umno seeks the best narrative to continue leading this nation.

“Umno must be prepared to converse in the language of change. Umno must be bold in approaching the youth and millennial generation.

“Umno must be capable of exhibiting maturity and a leadership capable of addressing the challenges of the 21st century,” Khaled added in a statement.

‘Tsunami Umno’ heading for Selangor

In another statement, Cheras Umno division chief Syed Ali Alhabshee said he is confident the party would retain control of Putrajaya in the coming general election.

On the same note, Syed Ali predicted that a “Tsunami Umno” would hit several opposition-held states, especially Selangor.

Selangor, which has been under the control of the opposition coalition since the 2008 general election, has become a focal point following the souring of ties between PKR and PAS.

At its recent mukatamar, PAS resolved to end its political cooperation with PKR.

The Majlis Syura of PAS is expected to make a final decision on this at a meeting scheduled for 3pm today.
Syed Ali also dismissed the opposition’s claim that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s administration is losing support.

He claimed that support for Umno and the Najib administration is strong among all races, especially the Malays.

“Tsunami Umno will demolish the opposition’s dream of controlling Putrajaya in the coming general election,” Syed Ali added.

FRAID NO ONE WILL TURN UP? DESPERATE NAJIB ROUNDING UP STUDENTS FOR UMNO’S BIRTHDAY BASH TONIGHT?

KUALA LUMPUR – Umno and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) have denied allegations that students from the university are being made to attend the party’s 71st anniversary celebration at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tonight.

The claims have been made on Twitter, with some UiTM students saying that they have been made to attend a “volunteer program” by the university later today.

PKR deputy youth chief Dr Afif Bahardin claimed he received a WhatsApp message from a UiTM staff member regarding the same issue.

But Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa denied the claims, saying that the Umno anniversary celebrations tonight were “open” to anyone interested in taking part.

“Tonight is an open event. Anyone can go. It’s an open carnival. No instructions [to UiTM] and no problem. It is a public space.

“If UiTM wants to join, no problem,” he told Malay Mail Online when contacted this afternoon.

Kuala Selangor MP Datuk Seri Irmohizam Ibrahim, who sits on UiTM’s board of directors, believes that such claims are fake and aimed at tainting the good image of UiTM.

“I have no information regarding this. I think this is an accusation and an irresponsible claim which can damage the image and good name of UiTM,” he told Malay Mail Online.

Malay Mail Online has also contacted UiTM vice-chancellor Datuk Hassan Said and is awaiting his official response.

Earlier today on Twitter, some user who said they were UiTM students claimed they had no idea the “volunteer program” they were meant to attend was in fact related to Umno’s anniversary gathering.

“i dont even know ada kena mengena dgn UMNO tbh. I thought it was for sport event or something cause they say we ‘volunteer’.

“Translation: I don’t even know there was anything to do with Umno to be honest. I thought it was for a sporting event or something because they say we ‘volunteer’,” Twitter user @solerarity said in reply to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman, and attached what appears to be letter from the vice-chancellor regarding the matter.

A screenshot of the alleged WhatsApp message.

A screenshot of the alleged WhatsApp message.Syed Saddiq had asked Twitter users to share any information regarding UiTM students being made to attend Umno’s event tonight.

PKR’s Dr Afif also alleged that there was an effort by Umno to “manipulate and mobilise” university students to attend the event.

“We suspect that the program involves Umno’s 71 anniversary celebrations,” Afif said in a statement.

He also included screenshots of the WhatsApp message allegedly from a UiTM staff member detailing the students’ involvement in the Umno gathering.

About 140,000 party members from all corners of the country are expected to attend tonight’s event which will be attended and officiated by Prime Minister and Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The event will also see the launch of the construction of the 70-storey KL Putra tower and the presentation of the Distinguished Malay Figure (Tokoh Melayu Terbilang) award to three recipients.

There will also be lucky draws offering prizes worth about RM1 million, including six cars and 10 motorcycles at the event.

PAS Syura (consultative) Council secretary Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh said at a press conference the decision was based on PKR's opposition to PAS's Islamic agenda, including the latter's drive to amend Malaysia's Syariah law, reported The Star online.

"Firstly, it's because PKR has not supported and instead opposed PAS' Islamic agenda such as RUU355," Zawawi was quoted as saying, referring to the parliamentary Bill submitted by PAS.

"Secondly, PKR has gone against the spirit of political cooperation by attacking the leadership and making false accusations against PAS, in turn tainting the party's image.

"Thirdly, it has betrayed the political relationship with PAS by working with others who want to topple the (PAS-led) Kelantan government and went against PAS during the by-elections in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar," he said.

Zawawi later told reporters that president Abdul Hadi Awang was ready to meet PKR leaders if the latter still wanted to maintain a relationship.

He added that said any political decisions made by the party, including issues on the administration of the Selangor state government, would be handed over to the PAS central committee.

After Malaysia's most successful opposition coalition collapsed in 2015, former allies PAS and PKR continued to maintain a working relationship in Selangor. PAS jointly runs Malaysia's richest state alongside PKR and its other former ally, the Chinese-led Democratic Action Party (DAP).

But PAS did not join the new alliance, Pakatan Harapan, comprising PKR, DAP, Parti Amanah Negara and former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad's Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.

Relations soured further in the past year, escalating into a war of words between PAS and PKR leaders. PAS members urged their leaders to cut ties with PKR.

But the repercussions of such a move may prove too detrimental for PAS. Ending political ties with PKR means PAS leaders will have to quit their roles in the Selangor state government. Putting off the decision would allow PAS to keep its options open over who it wants to join forces with.

PAS, with its ambitious goal of winning 40 parliamentary seats and five states, appears confident that it can negotiate power-sharing, should any one bloc fail to gain a majority at the next election, expected to be called this year.

Kelantan man said to be part of ISIS arms-smuggling ring sought by police: Report

Malaysian police are looking for man who is part of a weapons smuggling group operating along the Kelantan-Thai border and is suspected of having links to ISIS

KELANTAN - Police in Malaysia are seeking a Kelantan man with links to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) suspected of being involved in a smuggling ring selling firearms to the militant group, the New Straits Times reported on Thursday (May 11).

The paper, citing sources, said the 27-year-old man identified as Muhammad Muzaffa Arieff Junaidi from Kampung Gertak is wanted by the police for being part of a group of smugglers operating along the Kelantan-Thai border.

According to the sources, the man regularly travels to southern Thailand and Kelantan, especially to the border town of Sungai Golok in Thailand's Narathiwat Province, to collect the supply of firearms either through checkpoints or illegal jetties located along the border areas.

The sources said the man is sometimes accompanied by other smugglers when he collects the firearms from the Thai suppliers.

"Sometimes, he will make the deal (of selling firearms) there in the border town and sometimes, he will cross over back to Rantau Panjang (in Kelantan) with the firearms," the report cited the sources as saying.

The man is believed to have fled to Thailand on March 22 after a crackdown by Malaysian police.

The report also cited Thai security sources as saying that the suspect had entered the country regularly.

Kelantan police said on Thursday that they were investigating the report and were working with their Thai counterparts to jointly probe the case, the paper reported.

Malaysia's counter-terrorism police said last week that six individuals in five states were arrested earlier this year over their suspected links to ISIS.

Two of the six were nabbed in Kelantan in March for their involvement in the smuggling of weapons from southern Thailand that were meant to be used by ISIS militants in Malaysia.

Understanding Malaysia’s Sneaky Wahabi Menace - UMNO and PAS

Farouk A. Peru: Understanding Malaysia’s Sneaky Wahabi Menace

Here is Farouk Peru going after the "Sneaky Wahabis".

Farouk A. Peru: Understanding Malaysia’s Sneaky Wahabi Menace

Malaysia is in a lot of trouble with Islamofascists.

They are invading many areas in our lives.

From Mat Skodengs to misogynistic Syariah courts, to tricky old politicians using ancient Arabic laws in new bottles (called RUU 355) to gain political mileage with the Islamic demographic.

As if all these weren’t enough, we also have the menace of Wahabism quietly sneaking in our midst since the last few decades.

DR MAZA’S SECRET

That the mufti of Perlis, Dr Maza is a Wahabi is an open secret.
He doesn’t say it and neither do his associates but its clear from his discourse

Wahabis will never call themselves ‘wahabis’ because it is pejorative
there is the friendlier ‘salaf as-salih’ [(the followers of) the pious predecessors].
Wahabis tell Muslims to eliminate all bid’aat (innovations)
and keep to authentic religion of Islam as taught by the Prophet.

they claim they have the most authentic hadith
question even the most ‘authentic’ hadith.

WAHABI SUPREMACISM

emerging Wahabi on the horizon – Rozaimi Ramle.
Rozaimi on panel with Maza (before ‘Paria-gate’ when he was still half decent)

together they tried to perform acrobatic apologetics for Ibn Taimiya
Ibn Taimiya had some warped views
Wahabis love his literalist approach to Islam which inspired them
they get very squirelly when you ask them if God has two hands (Quran 5:64)
Their literalism cannot accommodate the figurative language of the Quran

They also denounce everyone else (tasfiyah)
Ibn Taimiya called sufis ‘allies of satan’ (awliya as-shaitaan)
because they do not follow his version of Sunnah
Very fanatical people indeed

Yesterday, Rozaimi took on Hadi on RUU 355.
He was ‘doing a Maza’, showing RUU 355 not literally in the Quran / Hadith
However this really showed Rozaimi’s Wahabiness
Wahabis totally eschew any analogical reasoning
I totally oppose RUU 355
I also oppose the irrational literalism of the Wahabis.

The answer is very simple –
none of these laws are Quranic
they need to be unceremoniously removed

Rozaimi was simply making a play for support
just like the arch-Wahabi, Dr Maza himself.

today Rozaimi actually exposed his real view
He wants hudud to apply equally to non-Muslims
Unsurprisingly, this is also Maza’s position
This is the true face of Wahabi supremacism

They wish to subjugate everyone to their brand of Islamofascism
we will become another Saudi Arabia.

All right thinking Malaysians – open your eyes to Wahabism.
They are another form of Islamofascism and must be boycotted

My comments : I met Rozaimi Ramle once - at a lunch meeting with the G25.

The problem with the Malay Muslim discourse in Malaysia is that it is so limited.

This is true in all areas of intellectual discourse. The reason being we have NOT nurtured world class intellect. The Malay discourse is so damned over protected and "subsidy dependent"  that  it has become extremely stunted (menjadi kerdil).

Take religious discourse. You can have total idiots like Ustaz Ferrari  pulling a stadium full of  dim witted people who have no critical thinking skills.

You have clowns like Hadi Awang and the PAS gang who are nothing more than village preachers bringing village politics to the national level.

Then you have the so called educated fellows with their PhDs and such.  They are all in the same village level of discourse.

There is a simple reason for their tardiness : 3,5,6.

3,5,6 means three years jail, five thousand Ringgit fine and six strokes of the rotan under the Enakmen Jenayah Syariah for anyone who says anything that is not accepted by the orthodoxy.

This is the "law" they have used against anyone at all who says something not liked by them.

So at the end of the day, all these folks - Wahabis, non Wahabis, Salafis, Sufis, whoever are all protected by these 3,5,6 Laws.

Whether they agree or disagree, the 3,5,6 Laws are a sort of 'legal subsidy' - a legal umbrella under which they can talk all sorts of rubbish without fear of being challenged by people who know differently from them.

So in Malaysia, over the past decades, under this type of 'legal subsidy' protection, what has developed is actually a 'kebaculan intelek' or 'intellectual cowardice' among the Malay Muslim religious people  (sorry I cannot call them intelligentsia).

For example, without going into specifics, here is something they cannot deal with : "haatu burhanukum inkuntum sadiqeen" which means "bring your proofs if you are truthful".  This is in the Quran.

If you are truthful then bring proofs for what you believe in? Isnt that a simple request?

Yet these folks cannot bring a single shred of evidence for their beliefs. It is just hentam buta saja.

That is why they need the 3,5,6 laws. When they cannot answer questions, they will throw you in jail.

The only profession in the world which is protected by criminal legislation - you question the religious people and they can throw you in jail. Just for disagreeing with them.   Fulamak ! Waa-lau-eh !

Hence they have become intellectual cowards. This is a sad fate.
