Lately from a couple of months ago do not see the rush crowd
at Mydin Mall in USJ1 . It used to be a time when to find parking even at the
uncovered area was a nightmare and now one round can find a parking lot at the
covered car park under the Mydin Mall. The casher counters were at one time 70
to 100% open but today could see only 6 counters open and not much queue at the
cashier counter and also the supermarket can count the number of shoppers. Good
for shoppers but bad for Mydin supermarket. The eating stalls area a lot of
empty seats and tables and this is during the lunch time.
Curious did not see the usual Chines crowd. The Chinese or
none Malay shopper’s cart easily when at cashiers , the tilt rings between 300
to 500 Ringgit and a typical Malay or Indon shopper cart is below RM 100 or
most 150 and that also loaded with the low end groceries .
Back to
Nasi Kandar restaurants and Kayu as an example, no lunch hour crowd and hardly
any Chinese. Then to McDonalds same problem and no queue, good for the dinners.
Talking about other halal places same problem.
Maybe the Chinese are blaming the Mamaks for stirring up trouble
from paint brushes to no outside birthday cake at McDonalds or other fast food
restaurants. Cannot blame them as the Mamaks have taken over in UMNO and also
most ministers look like Mamaks.
Then again maybe MO1 is punishing the mamaks by getting MCA, MIC and
Gerakan to boycott the Mamaks business for supposedly support and mamak to edge
out MO1.
Darn these Malaysia politics get confusing day by day but the
Chinese have known to voice their displeasure thru their wallet. Maybe the Non
Malays like to go to supermarket where can but non halal food stuff like bacon ham,
Beer, wines, liquor under one roof
But could it be the GST monster with GST charged along the
supply chain and ends up 15% instead of 6% of the gross value of the product.
When you take out the Ringgit from the pocket, it only comes out as 85cents and
not 100 cents because of GST and have to buy less 15%. Or worse the unemployed
do not have any money left to feed or buy and anything else. No money no talk,
got money can talk
I hate riddles
