Getting rid or reducimg Foreign Labour in Malaysia

Government must take below steps to make foreign labour expensive in Malaysia

1.       Increase levy to 25% of annual foreign worker wages

2.       Income tax on foreign worker to be paid by employer and make taxable income minimum RM 10,000 annual wages

3.      Force employers to contribute EPF for foreign workers

4.       Annual air ticket back to home country and back to Malaysia

5.      Free accommodation

6.      Free transport home to work to home to work

7.     Minimum 1 month bonus

8.     Medical insurance
Annual leave

9.     If worker is married, than worker is given family status with education for children paid by employer.

10.  Termination benefits

11.  Gratuity

Why because our local workers will gain when foreign labour gets expensive and anyhow the employers still make profits or will not be doing business. Malaysian business need to shift mode to less labour intensive jobs and more on skilled jobs as we have a pool of unemployed graduates in every imaginable fields. The days of labour intensive industries are past tense for Malaysia because manufacturing facilities using unskilled and semi skill labour moving off to cheaper countries in South East Asia.

There is are no poor businessmen but only rich ones and why else are they in business if the businesses don’t make money

The government need the political will to change the labour policy or else Malaysia is going to be going downhill and end up like a basket case waiting for handouts
