4-Year-Old Little Girl Fell 14 Floors To Her Death, Mother Charged With Child Negligence!!

A 4-year-old toddler was left alone at home sleeping but when she awoke, she found that her mother was not at home. Being babies our mothers are the first person we look for, for just about anything right? I mean even us as adults, we look for our mothers first before anyone else when we have troubles!

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nanyan said,

“She climbed a plastic chair on the balcony to look for her mother, which was when she fell from the 14th floor of an apartment block.”

He said the tragedy happened at 11 pm on Saturday, the girl who was Sudanese lost her balance when looking over the balcony and fell to her death in Taman Taming Jaya, Balakong. He added that the girl suffered severe head injuries.

The victim’s mother is now being detained under Section 33 of the Child Act 2001 for leaving the child without reasonable supervision. She had left her toddler to pick up her two other children from downstairs.



Police investigation found a chair on the balcony which was originally from the living room. It is believed that the girl dragged the plastic chair over to the balcony before climbing it.

Parents or guardians, never leave a toddler alone, never ever take the risk even if you have to, make sure you have someone looking after the little one before you leave!!
