Needy students deprived of Education due to no help from the Rich and Powerful

Malaysian non-Bumiputra Member of Parliament must start ball rolling for an Education fund for the needy high achieving Non-Bumiputra students now before it is too late

Miss Kok; please do not beg as the racist Idiots will squeeze this issue to the maximum. High time we start looking out for ourselves as the High and Might in Putra Jaya Ivory Tower  us not going to do anything because he have done nothing in the past for us.

Start getting the Various non-Bumiputra associations like the Chinese and Indian guide associations, the billionaires, the business men and others who can afford to start a Non-Profit education fund to help the needy Non-Bumiputra students to get University education at local private or Overseas universities and make a condition that these students should not attend government Universities as when graduate they will be unemployable. Now in the internet age start Cloud funding and the Malaysians will contribute generously and I will do also.

Stop begging like a beggar with a bowl. Each time this issue comes up. End of the day all are equally to be blamed for not starting a Non-profit education fund for the needy as the government time and time again refuses scholarships to high achieving Non-Bumiputra students

The Non-profit Education fund should be run professionally and apolitically. 40% of Malaysians are disfranchised because of their race and non-Bumiputra status and that is 12 million out of a population of 30 million Malaysians and conservatively there are 3.5 to 4 million families as non-Bumiputra Families are nuclear families who belief in Quality over Quantity. I family donates RM 10 monthly to this fund comes to 30 million monthly if 3 million families contribute and business can contribute 0.01 % of their profits and that is anything from my guess to your guess because money donated will be huge and the Billionaires to donate also. Safely RM 10 billion can be collected yearly from these sources. Need a lean and transparent organization to run this education fund and the yearly accounts can be publishing on the education fund websites. Bumiputra students who are marginalized by the Government for not been UMNOputras should be considered after the NON-Bumiputras. Overtime this fund will grow to a Malaysian education fund for all Malaysians of all races and contributed by all Malaysians of all races.

If the non-Bumiputras can be united in political arena to fight and safe guard their rights and also for their families, can also unit on the education fund,

RM 10 Billion per year of funds contributed and a student on average needs RM 100,00  to complete his or he’s university education to be a professional comes to 100,00 new students per year . Excess funds can be invested for source of income in the future. The fund later on can start helping needy Non-Bumiputras to set up small business and also help the uninsured to get medical treatment. Possibilities are endless and Malaysia already have a private sector industry which is pushing full steam ahead and The Malaysian government official economy which is grinding slowly and slowly to a full stop because of pilferage of funds from the government treasury by the not so honests politicians from the ruling BN party

This need political will on the part of Pakatan Harapan to start the ball rolling and the Non-Bumiputra member of Parliaments must get this started and running before the SPM and STPM results are out in 2018.

look below the richest in Malayisa and 11 out of 12 are Non-Bumiputras who can help with the Non-Profit Education fund. Did Anybody asked them yet

MP wants Najib to intervene in ‘unfair, illogical’ scholarship issue

FMT Reporters | May 4, 2017
DAP's Teresa Kok says Prime Minister Najib Razak must direct the Public Service Department director-general to explain the matter to the Cabinet.

PETALING JAYA: Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has called on Prime Minister Najib Razak to direct the Public Service Department (PSD) to explain why the overseas scholarship programme requires only 7As while its domestic counterpart demands 9 A+.

This follows her initial statement two days ago, in which she asked Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department S K Devamany, who had confirmed the requirements in the Dewan Rakyat on April 5, to explain the difference in the conditions.

Devamany had reportedly said that a total of 461 students would be given local scholarships under the P9A+ Special Programme.

He was also reported as saying that under the Japan, South Korea, France and Germany (JKPJ) Special Programme, students who scored 7As would be given the opportunity to pursue engineering studies in the four countries.

Today, Kok said she had yet to receive a reply on the matter from either Devamany or PSD director-general Zainal Rahim Seman.

Calling the policy “strange, illogical and unfair”, the DAP lawmaker said silence was not an option.
“Malaysian taxpayers are entitled to know how PSD could practise such an illogical policy in awarding scholarships,” she said in a statement today.

“I, therefore, call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib to direct the PSD director-general to explain to the Cabinet why overseas scholarship JKPJ Special Programme only requires 7A when local scholarship (P9A+ Special Programme) requires 9A+.”

Kok also renewed her call for an explanation for Teh Xin Yi’s failure to obtain a scholarship under the JKPJ Special Programme despite scoring 11A+ in all her subjects.
Teh was one of 102 students who had scored all A+ in the 2016 SPM examination. Kok had asked why Teh’s application was rejected when the JKPJ Special Programme allocated 200 places for outstanding students.

“The Cabinet should call for her file and find out why she had failed to obtain the scholarship under JKPJ Special Programme,” she said.

WhatsApp users in all parts of the world were unable to access the online for a few hours
whatsappSAN FRANCISCO: WhatsApp, a popular messaging service owned by Facebook Inc, suffered a widespread global outage yesterday that lasted for several hours before being resolved, the company said.

“Earlier today, WhatsApp users in all parts of the world were unable to access WhatsApp for a few hours. We have now fixed the issue and apologize for the inconvenience,” WhatsApp said in an email late Wednesday afternoon.

In Brazil, where the professional class relies heavily on the messaging service, WhatsApp was down for about two and a half hours. Many users switched to rival system Telegram, which has picked up millions of customers in Brazil after two previous WhatsApp outages resulting from court orders.

WhatsApp’s is used by more than 1.2 billion people around the world and is a key tool for communications and commerce in many countries. The service was acquired by Facebook in 2014 for US$19 billion.

Recent court ruling says online admins not liable for messages
V Anbalagan | May 4, 2017

In light of MCMC's guidelines for locals on managing social media platforms, ruling in Indian court states with no filtering powers given, admins cannot be blamed.

whatapp-courtPETALING JAYA: An Indian High Court has ruled that administrators of WhatsApp and other social networking services cannot be held guilty of defamation if the members of the group post libellous and obscene messages.

Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw, who dismissed a defamation suit, said he was unable to understand how the administrator of a group could be held liable over the statements made by a member of the group, the Business Insider reported recently.

“To make an administrator of an online platform liable for defamation would be like making the manufacturer of a newsprint on which defamatory statements are published to be also liable for defamation.

“When an online platform is created, the creator thereof cannot expect any of the members thereof to indulge in defamation, and defamatory statements made by any member of the group cannot make the administrator liable,” the report quoted the Delhi High Court judge as saying.
The judge also said the group administrators were neither required nor empowered to filter all the messages before they were posted.

“It is not as if without the administrator’s approval of each of the statements, the statements cannot be posted by any of the members of the group on the said platform,” said the court.
The suit was filed by Ashish Bhalla against the administrator of a chat group, Vishal Dubey.
Various agitated buyers of a housing project in Gurgaon district had posted messages on the group, voicing out their grievances in delay in getting possession of their flats. Gurgaon, which is also known as Gurugram, is a city southwest of New Delhi in northern India.
Some of these messages targeted Bhalla, who was earlier associated with a real estate firm that had launched the project.

Bhalla then filed a defamation suit, accusing members of the groups of defaming him and maligning his image, especially when he was not associated with the housing project anymore.

The significance of this ruling in India could have some bearing in Malaysia with the internet regulatory body issuing a document yesterday on responsibility over messages on the various social media and instant messaging platforms, such as WhatsApp, WeChat, Viber, Telegram and Facebook.

Yesterday, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) uploaded a list of dos and don’ts on its official Facebook page for administrators of social media networks.
It reminded administrators of these groups to inform members the reason for setting up the group and to consider setting basic ground rules.

It also advised administrators not to be absent.

Elaborating on the do’s, MCMC reminded administrators to be mindful of the conditions of use set by the platform providers and to not breach the community standards set by these providers.

“Administrators must also comment on posts to ensure that discussions stay on track, check posts regularly, in order to avoid encouraging, inciting or abetting inappropriate posts,” MCMC said.

It also advised administrators to remove or even block those who persist in making inappropriate posts, including “trolls” or individuals who continuously breach the ground rules.

DAMN! US Dollar Is So Powerful Right Now, Even The Dead Prefer It In The Afterlife

There seems to be no respite in sight for the Malaysian ringgit, which is already among Asia’s worst performing currencies. With exchange rates fluctuating so much in the real world, it only stands to reason that those in the afterlife could get affected too.

According to Mashable Asia, Malaysian papers are reporting that people are starting to turn to foreign currencies such as the U.S. dollar, when it comes to selecting paper money to burn as offerings.

With the Chinese Qing Ming festival coming, where people are expected to burn “money” for their ancestors in the afterlife, stores are selling replicas of U.S., Singapore and Japanese banknotes.

As a woman named Chong, told The Star: “I know that the U.S. dollar is at its strongest right now since around 10 years ago.”

“I thought it would be more prosperous to buy this for my family’s departed ones instead, so that hopefully, they bless us with good health and wealth in return.”

Ang Siew Siew, who manages a joss paper store in the Malaysian state of Penang, said customers say they perceive the U.S. dollar as stable and strong in value.

“[The customers] claim U.S. dollars would be useful if their ancestors need to go on a holiday in the afterlife,” Ang said.

WHAT DO THE BANKNOTES LOOK LIKE?

The Qing Ming banknotes look similar to the real thing, only that the usual image of the president is swapped out for that of Yanluo, the god of death in Chinese mythology.

The change in afterlife currency is being fanned by the Malaysian ringgit’s fluctuations.

The ringgit dropped to a 12-year-low last year, triggered by fears that Trump’s presidency would set off more investors pulling out of emerging markets in the region.

Cruel Chinese Parents Locked Their Son In A Dark Cage For 30 Years!

A family in China is under fire after it was revealed that they kept their son locked in a cage for the last thirty years because they thought he was possessed!

The man’s harrowing ordeal began when he was only six years old and briefly disappeared from home.  During his absence, the boy was discovered by villagers who mistook his mental illness for possession and performed an exorcism to free him from ‘evil spirits.’

The man’s mum reportedly said she locked him away because he was possessed

When the child returned home, his parents became convinced that a ghost had taken hold of their son, since his behavior seemed extremely strange. Rather than take him to a doctor, they opted for a horrifying version of holistic medicine by simply locking him in a cage!

It was in that nightmare-inducing location that the boy grew into a man over the next three decades until concerned neighbors recently filmed the man with his hand grasping through the bars of his cage. Then they sent the footage to medical professionals, who then arranged for him to be freed.

The 39-year-old is now being treated for malnourishment as well as examined by doctors attempting to discern his mental state.

Whether the parents end up being punished for the astounding imprisonment remains to be seen, but it would certainly be poetic justice if they eventually wind up being bars.

Appropriators cut $20M from B-21 program in omnibus spending bill

.

By: Valerie Insinna, May 3, 2017

WASHINGTON — The Air Force’s secretive B-21 bomber took a hit in the fiscal 2017 omnibus spending bill, with congressional appropriators stripping about $20 million from the program, budget documents show.

Although the service requested $1.358 billion to fund research and development activities related to the B-21 Raider, the omnibus funding bill would only fund $1.338 billion. Budget documents attribute that cut to “forward financing.”

The documents cited only spell out publicly releasable changes between the president’s 2017 request and the omnibus spending bill, which was agreed to Monday by a bipartisan group of appropriators but has not yet been passed by Congress. It does not contain information on classified Pentagon budget items, which likely also includes spending for the bomber.

The omnibus incorporates several provisions meant to give Congress further oversight over the program. First, it calls for the Defense Department’s inspector general to evaluate the program, formerly known as the Long Range Strike Bomber. In addition, it designates the B-21 a “congressional special interest item,” which gives lawmakers more control over “transfer of funds and prior approval reprogramming procedures.”

Air Force Digs Its Heels In On Bomber Cost Secrecy

Northrop Grumman was chosen in 2015 to manufacture the B-21, defeating a Boeing-Lockheed Martin team. The Air Force has not disclosed the total value of the contract, maintaining that the information would give adversaries too much insight into the program. However, the service has projected the B-21 will cost that $550 million per plane.
