Cops watching group challenging citizenship for non-Malays

Good man IGP, do not watch them too long or they might as well call you Peeping Tom. All of them need to be breaking rocks in Bamboo River quarry as they the management of Bamboo River resort and SPA may need to build a new wing for the Bertindak massagers that will be working and living to keep the longtime residents good massages and a few specials. Best is to get the Bertindak guys to start breaking rocks for building of the new wing of Bamboo River Resort and SPA and will be good exercise for their fists

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 — A new Malay Muslim coalition calling itself Bertindak is under police scrutiny after challenging the citizenship of 1.75 million non-Malays granted between 1957 and 1970.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar told reporters today that no complaint had been made to date against the group.

“We are monitoring it, and if it gets into an issue, then we will get to it,” he said.
Last month, Bertindak — short for Barisan Bertindak Melayu Islam — said that it would challenge the citizenship of 1.75 million Malaysians, granted between 1957 and 1970, in response to uproar over the permanent residency of controversial Indian Muslim preacher Dr Zakir Naik.
Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz, the secretariat head for Bertindak, claimed a review of the citizenship between those three years was needed as the award did not follow Schedule 1 of the Federal Constitution, which stipulates that a person must take an oath of loyalty to qualify.
Bertindak, comprising 22 Malay non-governmental organisations, said it was opposing “rude and dominant” groups who have questioned the tenets of Islam and the rights of Muslims, and warned there may be a recurrence of the May 13, 1969 race riots.

It claimed that Malay-Muslim sensitivities were hurt by groups that questioned the residency of Dr Zakir as well as the move to amend the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 (Act 164) which purportedly disregards the interest of Muslim converts.

Other issues which Bertindak views as inflammatory are the protest against the proposed amendment to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, questioning the content of Islamic sermons and attempts to make the Rukun Negara the preamble to the Federal Constitution.

Snap polls in Selangor? - MB Azmin better have soon or Selangor will end up like Perak soon

The plan to wrest Selangor from Pakatan Harpan have moved from the planning and financial plan to the next step of execution of the plan by an unfriendly takeover with Perak Takeover as the model. The frogs from pakatan Harapan have been identified, neutralized and compromised sometime again. BN have the numbers and it is very critical week from now for pakatan Harapan MB Azmin. Need to call for Snap elections by May 12, 2017 or all will be lost.

Najib, BN-UMNO need these distractions badly to divert the heat and attention the government with PM Najib are getting. With all this bad press , BN cannot win the Federal elections and need to divert attention and scare the opposition and Operation Tanjong Karang Udang Galah is born with a budget of 50 to 100 Million RM and the prize is 3 billion RM of Selangor government reserves in cash

Snap polls in Selangor?
May 4, 2017
Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali is well aware that his state administration is relatively safe now and there is no immediate danger of collapse.

By Tay Tian Yan

The latest rumour around town is that a snap election will be called in Selangor.
It is said that the reason for this is PAS’ decision to break ranks with PKR, and how the state government could collapse if PAS reps opt out of it. Snap election is seen as the ultimate solution to resolve the crisis.

Well, sounds reasonable. Moreover, any Pakatan rep jumping ship at this moment will put the state assembly in a “hung” state, and another crossing the line will turn Pakatan virtually into the minority.
It looks and sounds as though this is going to happen, from the way things are developing.
If you were Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali, you might have a hard time sleeping, or perhaps not enough time to sleep to tackle the snap polls now.

But, I was told that Azmin doesn’t feel the slightest uneasiness. Instead, he seems to be having a great time in his overseas trips.

He posted a picture of him happily riding a community bicycle in Taipei last week, and this week he is flying to the Middle East and North Africa to take in the warm Mediterranean sun.
Azmin is the key person to decide whether snap polls should be called. Will he be lazing under the sun if a snap election is just around the corner?
No, unless he’s a real fool.

Azmin, who is PKR deputy president, is no fool but a very smart politician indeed.
As a smart and seasoned politician, Azmin is well aware that his state administration is relatively safe now and there is no immediate danger of collapse. He also knows how to control the current situation to avert any impending crisis.

He understands that it is normal for PAS delegates to hit out at PKR in their muktamar, as PAS leaders have drawn a line between themselves and his party.
But, politics is such that things are often much louder than they actually are, as everyone is so engrossed with playing the game.

PAS is blasting PKR, but that doesn’t mean the two parties are prepared to put up a fight.
On the surface these two parties may no longer be allies, but Azmin and Hadi are not sworn enemies. There is still room for both men to work together, at least to keep the Selangor state government in one piece for the time being.

Azmin needs PAS, just as he needs DAP and Amanah. Keeping the status quo will allow PKR to remain the state’s ruling party, and he the menteri besar.

Azmin will not kick PAS out to keep his administration intact, and to hold down DAP as well.
Neither is Hadi Awang a fool.

His rivals are DAP, Amanah and PKR’s Rafizi Ramli. Not MB Azmin.
PAS pulling out of the Selangor government will not do Hadi or PAS any good. If he orders the party out of the Selangor government, PAS will become an opposition party, completely denied of state government resources and positions.

A friend told me PAS has excos, district and municipal councillors, village chiefs, village committee members and religious department officials in Selangor, amounting to about 500 to 600 positions in total.

PAS is not going to surrender these positions and resources to some other parties, in particular Amanah.

DAP is not stupid too.

DAP is currently the biggest party in the state, reaching its pinnacle after the 2013 general election. Party leaders are well aware that such a record has been unprecedented, and may very likely not be repeated, less so exceeded, in future.

They will want to keep this for as long as they can. Calling a snap election is therefore suicidal, and it is not the party’s prerogative to do so, either.

And Barisan Nasional (BN) is most definitely not stupid.
Perhaps by getting a few rival reps to cross over may bring down the state government, but this will not do BN any good.

In the event the state government collapses, an election has to be called, and BN may not – and it appears that it is unlikely to – win.

Like Musa Aman of Sabah, even if he wants a snap election, Najib will not allow it. The reason is simple enough: if you can’t win more seats than the last time, why call an election now?
Najib’s big bet is GE14, and he is working towards this. Creating trouble in Selangor does not go well with his strategy but could only mess things up further.

If, in the least likely scenario Selangor has to go to the polls very soon, the Sultan’s consent is still essential.

His Royal Highness wants stability in the state. Moreover, the general election may not be too far away. Why snap polls now?

In this whole thing, no one is going to be the fool or desires to be one. A snap election is but a blank shell.

Only those who believe it are stupid!

DAP to PM: Explain why Bandar Malaysia deal collapsed

China or we say PRC have no money left.

It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that china is facing a massive financial crisis on its own and due to its secretive nature, the news will only be tickling out slow by slow until when it cannot contained it, the flood comes out and floods the whole world financial system causing it to crash like never before. China holds 3 to 5 Trillion USD of United States of America’s government debts.

Malaysia is a small fry in this and this should be the indication of what is going to come next. We do not have a Noah in our midst to save us all from what’s to come and wars will be fought because countries will be in turmoil and people will be starving.

More China Deals with Malaysia will be collapsing like a domino chips in the coming weeks and months.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng says the aborted deal may have other repercussions as it was tied to moves to salvage 1MDB.

KUALA LUMPUR: The DAP wants Prime Minister Najib Razak to explain why the Bandar Malaysia development agreement with the consortium of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd (IWH) and China Railway Engineering Corp (M) Sdn Bhd (CREC) has lapsed.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said in a statement: “This raises serious issues of accountability and transparency, especially why 10 extensions of time to make payment were granted since Dec 31, 2015, and whether the RM741 million deposit paid by IWH CREC will be forfeited.”

With the lapsing of the agreement, IWH and CREC are no longer the master developers of the RM200 billion Bandar Malaysia project.

TRX City Sdn Bhd, a unit under the ministry of finance, said in a statement Wednesday that despite repeated extensions being granted, IWH CREC had failed to meet the payment obligations outlined in the conditions under the share sale agreement (SSA).

As a result, it had said, the SSA between the parties was null and void.
IWH CREC today disputed the reasons given by TRX City for the deal collapsing.
In December 2015, the government announced that IWH CREC would acquire a 60% stake in Bandar Malaysia from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) for RM7.41 billion. This was part of 1MDB’s efforts to pare down its debts through an asset monetisation exercise.

Lim asked today: “What was the rationale for granting extensions and were the interests of Malaysians protected when so many extensions of time were granted?

“As IWH CREC is a 60:40 joint venture between IWH and CREC, with the Johor government owning 40% of IWH through Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd, how will the Johor people lose out following the aborted deal?”

The Bagan MP said as CREC was a Tier-1 Chinese government federal agency, funding was definitely not an issue.

“No wonder the Asian Wall Street Journal reported that the deal fell through because the Chinese government refused to authorise the deal, without stating any reasons.

“This aborted deal demonstrates a distinct lack of confidence in the direction as well as the viability of Bandar Malaysia,” Lim claimed.

He said the aborted deal would have other possible repercussions as it was part of “a critical pillar to salvage and resolve the 1MDB RM52 billion scandal through this rationalisation plan”.
He wondered how this would affect investor confidence and the value of the ringgit.

TRX City's stake sale in Bandar Malaysia aborted

KUALA LUMPUR: TRX City Sdn Bhd, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), said the sale of its 60% interest in Bandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd has lapsed.

"Despite repeated extensions being granted, IWH CREC Sdn Bhd failed to meet the payment obligations outlined in the conditions precedent under the SSA. As a result, the share sale agreement between the parties stands null and void with immediate effect," it said in a statement today.

TRX City said it will immediately be inviting expressions of interest for the role of master developer of the Bandar Malaysia project in Sungai Besi here, with full ownership being preserved by the MoF.

IWH CREC is a 60:40 joint venture between Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd (IWH) and China Railway Engineering Corp (M) Sdn Bhd (CREC).

On Dec 31, 2015, TRX City had entered into a share sale agreement (SSA) with the consortium of IWH and CREC for the sale of the 60% stake.

The Sungai Besi land is currently owned by TRX City (formerly 1MDB Real Estate Sdn Bhd) and Bandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd. TRX City Sdn Bhd owns four plots while Bandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd owns 12 plots, which collectively make up 486 acres of the project.

"Looking ahead, given a significant appreciation in the value of the Bandar Malaysia land, MoF will now be retaining 100% ownership of the site to ensure that the Malaysian people benefit from its development in its entirety," said TRX City.

On the selection process for the master developer of Bandar Malaysia, TRX City said the criteria will include track record, speed of delivery and financial capability for such large scale development.

"This is to enhance all aspects of Bandar Malaysia, including its role as a business, transport, residential and tourism hub.

"The steps taken today will ensure that there is no detrimental impact on the long-term development of Bandar Malaysia and that, upon its completion, the site will serve the national interest to an even greater extent than before," it added.

'It was a bit disorienting - we weren't hearing what we expected to hear': Nasa reveals the first unsettling sounds of the void between Saturn and its rings

On April 26 the Cassini spacecraft made its first plunge through a gap between Saturn and its rings

Its sensors detected delicate waves in the environment that would usually be hidden by dust particles

That was then transformed into eerie space 'music' of whistles, squawks and wind-like roars

The lack of dust baffled ring scientists, but means that most of the remaining dives will go easier

On Tuesday Cassini began the second of its 22 dives to collect new samples and photos of Saturn

First taste of freedom for a poor Orang Utan

Heart-warming moment an abused orangutan kept in a tiny wooden crate for two years is finally released

Kotap was stored in a 10 sq ft box for two years by his captor in the West Borneo province of West Kalimantan

Baco, his captor, claims he was given Kotap by villagers after he spotted the baby animal in a cardboard box

Heartwarming footage shows the moment the four-year-old ape was freed by International Animal Rescue

Watch the heart wrenching Video of the poor orang Utan tasting freedom after 2 years kept captive in a small wooden box

The ape, called Kotap, had spent two years of his life shut up in the box, which measures just 10 sq ft, in a house in the village of Rabak, West Kalimantan. His captor, a man named Baco, claimed to have been given the orangutan by some people he met in the village of Ketapang. He had fed Kotap on a diet of human food, including bread and rice. Baco claimed that the orangutan's favourite meal was uncooked instant noodles, washed down with a sachet of sugary drink. Officials from the BKSDA had previously visited Baco at his home in Rabak, a village in West Kalimantan, but were unable to persuade him to hand over Kotap. But after they explained the plight of orangutans in Borneo and he must act in the best interests of the animal, plus in compliance with the law, Baco gave up Kotap.
