Very simple why Sarawak Pakatan Harapan leaders not in Federal Line up because need this leaders at State level to wrest the State government form BN and now with Johari Openg the possibility of a Pakatan Harapan government in Sarawak is very real and will be a reality in the next State Elections. After the task of wresting away the State Government from BN, the state leaders will be appointed to the Federal level. Their service and leadership now is required in Sarawak first and federal can wait. PH resources are very scare in Sarawak and every one need to be count on.

PETALING JAYA: A Sarawak DAP politician has questioned the lack of Sabah and Sarawak representatives in the purported Pakatan Harapan presidential council line-up.
Earlier this week, The Malaysian Insight, quoting sources, listed the line-up, led by PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as chairman.
According to the article, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be the adviser, while Mohamad Sabu and Muhyiddin Yassin, who head Amanah and PPBM respectively, and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, will be vice-chairmen.
Another 14 leaders purportedly make up the rest of the council, but none are from East Malaysia.
“Pakatan Harapan presidential council but without any Sabah and Sarawak reps? What do you think?” DAP’s Abdul Aziz Isa asked in a Facebook post.

Seen by many as a rising star in Sarawak DAP, Abdul Aziz is the special assistant to Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen.
“A new party that has just formed in less than a year was given 5 reps. But Sabah and Sarawak that have formed Malaysia for the past 54 years were left without any reps (sic),” he continued, referring to PPBM, which only officially joined Pakatan Harapan this year.
“Funny, right? Even if this is still under suggestion, where is Sabah and Sarawak reps? I wonder…”
Yesterday, PPBM strategist Rais Hussin told Malaysiakini that the PH presidential council list was still in the pipeline and would be finalised in two weeks.
Despite a long-standing presence in Sabah and Sarawak, the federal opposition has not been able to pose any serious threat to Barisan Nasional in either state, with only DAP and PKR achieving notable success, and that, too, in mostly urban seats.
In the run-up to the Sarawak election last year, ties between DAP and PKR were tested when some state-based politicians voiced unhappiness over seat allocations negotiated by national party leaders.
Disagreements over seats led to multi-cornered fights in six state assembly seats: Batu Kitang, Mulu, Murum, Simanggang, Ngemah and Mambong. All six were won by Barisan Nasional.

Pakatan Harapan will gain by the Sabah Infighting and will end up with 25 seats in hand and require another 87 more Parliament seats in PRU 14 to form the Government with a simple majority

Forecast now on next Federal government after PRU 14 have changed with the Sabah dynamics and Pakatan Harapan forecast to win easily 136 Parliament seats in PRU 14 and also BN-UMNO is now more divided between team A – B – C and each team will make sure the other team candidate is defeated in PRU14 thus handing victory to Pakatan Harapan candidates. Too late and too little time with so much bad blood for Team A-B-C to make up and face PRU 14 as one Party .Team C in UMNO are the members who disagree with Najib and Zahidi are all Preibumi Mahathir supporters. KOTA KINABALU  – Datuk Seri Anifah Aman said his “MySabah” group was aimed at bringing change to the state, amid criticism that the foreign minister’s group included Opposition lawmakers.

He said that he wanted to correct any misconception about his working with Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan and Datuk Yong Teck Lee through the MySabah group, and that his intention was to leverage his close working relationship with the prime minister by bringing up Sabah issues directly to the latter.

“I asked myself, I have done so much for the country (by my reckoning), why not take this opportunity to raise issues of great importance to Sabahans? Are we getting a fair deal? Were the promises, assurances, agreements been implemented and fulfilled in the formations of Malaysia?

“I have access to the prime minister and here is a leader who is sympathetic with our grievances why not have a go. So how do I do it? Oh, a forum consisting of great minds including prominent constitutional lawyers and other prominent individuals,” he said in a Facebook post.

Anifah said he thought of Jeffrey, who has for years and at every opportunity, raised issues on Sabah rights including the 20 points accorded to Sabah and the prominence of Sabah and Sarawak in the Malaysia Agreement.

“No one in the seat of authority took him seriously. So I started thinking how do I persuade some of us Sabahans to leave politics aside in this instance for common good,” he said.

Anifah, who is the younger brother of Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, said that he did not ask his Barisan Nasional (BN) colleagues to join the struggle so as to not “rock the boat” and it was best to work with people who had “nothing to lose”.

“If anyone were to lose, then it would be me. But I convinced myself that this opportunities of mine will never come knocking again,” he said.

Anifah said he assembled other figures whom he had known over many years, including lawyer Ansari Abdullah whom he said he “worked with very closely over many years in football and a lawyer of some standing”, Yong and social activist Amde Sidek who were on his committee when he was president of the Sabah society in the United Kingdom.

“So I invited these people and specifically told them that I was not interested in their politics and they can leave their politics at home but come and work with me as a Sabahan. I have access to the prime minister and here is a leader who is sympathetic with our grievances why not have a go,” he said.

Anifah said that contrary to what some people thought, Najib was well respected among foreign leaders including “Kings, Emirs, Presidents and Prime Ministers,” and was a good listener.

Anifah said the My Sabah forum was attended by more than 7,000 people of like-minded minds.

“Where is politics in this??? I did invite some of the leaders in the current opposition but never responded. I told DDJK prepare a memorandum and we will submit to the PM as a United Sabahans devoid of any political and self promotions,” he said.

In the process, Anifah roped in contributions from other Sabahans, including constitutional lawyer Tengku Fuad Ahmad, former attorney-general Tan Sri Gani Patail, senior politician Datuk James Ligunjang and Dr Chong Eng Leong among others.

Anifah’s statement comes following accusations by Parti Cinta Sabah president Datuk Wilfred Bumburing, who had recently pulled out of the United Sabah Alliance.

Bumburing had also previously accused Yong and Jeffrey of playing both sides as their involvement in the My Sabah group was causing suspicion, compounded by Jeffrey’s actions of submitting a report to the state government’s Sabah rights review committee, chaired by Anifah.

Anifah said that the My Sabah platform has gone far, and done some good for Sabahans.

“All those aspiring wannabe please make yourself useful for our future generations instead of wasting your time hitting at other people. To those people asked what have you done to your state when your were in the position to do something.

“I am thankful to DDJK [Jeffrey Kitingan] and all that have the conscience to come together as Sabahans to rightly claim what are we entitled to. Sabahans this is our best time and best opportunity to come together for a common cause. I can assure you that the PM will not send you to the Kamunting University!” he said.

PETALING JAYA: Within days of the PAS muktamar’s decision to cut ties with PKR, Prime Minister Najib Razak has waded into the controversy to depict the coalition government in Selangor comprising PKR, PAS and DAP, as unstable.
Writing in his blog today, Najib said the political situation in the state would become shaky should PAS or DAP pull out of the Selangor government.
He added that the position of Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali, who is the PKR deputy president, and that of the state government would be adversely affected.
PAS at its recent muktamar voted unanimously to cut ties with PKR, after the Islamist party accused it of breaching mutual agreements. The PAS Syura Council is expected to endorse the decision.
Barisan Nasional (BN), led by Najib, has been striving to recapture Selangor from the opposition, which came to power after the 2008 general election.

Najib said political stability was crucial for the development of a country, adding that this can only be achieved if there was cooperation between the political parties forming the government.
“(But) look at the history of opposition coalitions… they never could last long.
“Since 1986, the opposition had formed nine coalitions, such as Barisan Alternatif set up in 1998 but was dissolved in 2008. Next, Pakatan Rakyat which emerged in 2008 until 2015. All these coalitions were forced to disband after a few years.
“What is amusing is that the present opposition (coalition) is joined by small new parties which seek to change the name of Pakatan Harapan. What (kind of) Pakatan will come out of this?”
Najib predicted that internal conflict would divert the opposition’s focus from (the welfare of) the people, adding that any government controlled by them would break up and this would cause economic ruin.
He said leadership without a single agenda would lead to frequent cabinet changes, which would interrupt basic government services.
He said in order to ensure development and the welfare of the people, the government must be led by a coalition that was strong, experienced and of one mind.

Delta apologises for forcing family off flight

delta2LOS ANGELES: Delta Air Lines apologised on Thursday after a couple said they were kicked off an overbooked flight with their two toddlers so their seats could be given to waiting passengers, the latest US airline to apologise over incidents on board their flights.

Delta Air Lines Inc said in a statement it was “sorry for the unfortunate experience”, a day after Brian and Brittany Schear posted a video online showing them being told to leave a flight or be arrested during a dispute over a seat they had bought for their teenage son.

“Delta’s goal is to always work with customers in an attempt to find solutions to their travel issues. That did not happen in this case and we apologise,” said the airline.

It said it had contacted the couple to refund their travel and provide additional compensation.
The apology came the same day members of a US Senate committee held a hearing on the industry’s customer service failures and issued harsh criticism of airline fees, disputes with passengers and the lack of competition in the heavily consolidated sector.

The video posted on YouTube by the California couple shows Brian Schear arguing with a police officer and a Delta employee as he sat on Flight 2222 waiting to depart from Maui to Los Angeles.

The dispute was about whether Shear was allowed to use a seat he had originally purchased for his teenage son for his toddler son and whether the toddler needed to be in a car seat or sit on the lap of an adult.

“You will hear them lie to me numerous times to get my son out of the seat. The end result was we were all kicked off the flight,” Shear wrote in the caption.

“They oversold the flight. When will this all stop?”

The Schears stayed at a hotel before flying home the next day.
The Delta incident came nearly a month after United Continental Holdings Inc (UAL.N) sparked outrage when a passenger was dragged off an overbooked flight by his hands. The airline reached a settlement with the passenger last month.

Southwest Airlines Co said after that incident it would stop overbooking its flights.
American Airlines Group Inc experienced another public relations fiasco last month when a video showing an onboard clash over a baby stroller went viral.

PAKATAN SUBMITS TOP LINEUP TO RoS

KUALA LUMPUR – Pakatan Harapan has decided its presidential council lineup to be submitted to the Registrar of Societies (RoS), with Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as chairman and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as adviser, according to a senior leader.

Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub also alluded to the possibility that the coalition’s shadow cabinet will comprise the same leaders on the presidential council list.



“The list is just a pro-tem committee, we have to register to the RoS the name of Pakatan Harapan, our objective is to use this list and the symbols in the coming GE.

“We agreed to name a few figures for each party to prove that we are very serious, especially when [PPBM] is on board, now the time is right to show public we are serious, so all the big names are named in the protem committee,” he told Malay Mail Online.

When asked whether the pact had finalised its shadow Cabinet line-up, Salahuddin said that the presidential council list will send an “implicit” message to Malaysians on the leaders they hope that “Malaysians can give their trust to.”

“Shadow Cabinet, let the public judge and interpret from the (presidential council) list. All the names there are top-ranking leaders.”

News portal The Malaysian Insight earlier today carried a report quoting sources saying that Pakatan Harapan has decided its line-up of top officials to lead the coalition in the 14th general election (GE14), and that the list was finalised at a meeting on Sunday.

According to the report, PKR president and federal opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah will chair the council with three vice-chairmen: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu (Amanah president) and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah will be the coalition’s secretary-general while DAP vice-president M. Kulasegaran will act as treasurer.

The report also said that each component party in the coalition will have three representatives in the presidential council.



Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, Nurul Izzah Anwar and Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will represent PKR; Salahuddin, Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa and Anuar Tahir will represent Amanah.

The DAP’s line-up will consist of Tan Kok Wai, Teresa Kok and Anthony Loke.

PPBM’s three representatives will be Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman and Datuk Dr Shahruddin Md Salleh.

On Sunday, Opposition Leader Dr Wan Azizah announced that the four Pakatan Harapan parties have decided on a common logo and a leadership lineup for its application to be formally registered with the Registrar of Societies.

Previous attempts to register Pakatan Rakyat, the predecessor to Pakatan Harapan, with the Registrar of Societies were unsuccessful.
