Muhammad Wanndy Mohamed Jedi, a terrorist from Malaysia high on the police’s wanted list, has been slapped with a sanction by the United States Treasury as reported by New Straits Times.
The 26-year-old Wanndy is now placed on the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists of the US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), making him one of the most wanted terrorists by Washington!

The Specially Designated Global Terrorist lists individuals who have committed or pose a significant risk of committing acts of terrorism, or provided support to terror groups designated under OFAC Counter Terrorism Sanctions programmes.
Wanndy was behind the attack on Movida nightclub in Puchong last June as he provided material support to two IS fighters in Malaysia in which included a grenade. He is a key member of the Islamic State’s (IS) Southeast Asian chapter and has been recruiting fighters and sourcing funds for the jihadist group.

A Facebook user using the name Abu Hamzah Al-Fateh believed to be Wanndy, had mocked the sanction and said that he would be extra cautious about his movements and communications.
