BOMBSHELL – NASHA STILL PAS MEMBER ALTHOUGH NO LONGER DEPUTY PRESIDENT: PANICKY PAS RUSHES TO DISTANCE FROM NASHA DESPITE MEMBERSHIP LINK

The allegation that former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa received funds from the former 1MDB subsidiary SRC International has nothing to do with the party, a PAS leader says.
PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said Nasharudin is just a regular member now, and has no influence on the party leadership.

“Nasharudin is no longer a leader in PAS… he has no relationship with the PAS leadership.
“This is between him and the authorities. If a report has been made against him, it has nothing to do with PAS at all,” he told Malaysiakini, stressing this was a personal issue for Nasharudin.
Takiyuddin also denied that PAS had received any financial contributions from Nasharudin since 2015, and claimed that the party was in the dark about him receiving SRC funds.
“If it is (true that he received funds), it won’t come as a shock, because he has no ties with the party,” he added.
Takiyuddin was responding to PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli, who in a statutory declaration today accused Nasharudin of receiving funds from SRC International through the accounts of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Rafizi claimed that the funds from Najib’s account went to a lawyer before being transferred to others, including Nasharudin.
The SD also featured a Sarawak Report chart, which detailed payments allegedly made from the prime minister’s accounts in 2015. No payment to Nasharudin is stated in the chart.

At a press conference in the Parliament lobby on April 6, Rafizi claimed to have evidence about someone close to the PAS leadership receiving 1MDB-linked funds and he challenged PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to respond to this.
This came after an uproar by Pakatan Harapan MPs over Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia’s decision to postpone the debate on Hadi’s motion to enhance punishments by the syariah courts to the next Parliament session in July.
Rafizi later told Malaysiakini that the person was a former PAS top leader, who served as a bridge between Umno and the Islamist party.
Hadi, on the other hand, dismissed the allegation as a “300 percent lie” and advised Rafizi to seek forgiveness from Allah.
Asked if Rafizi was attempting to tarnish PAS with this allegation, Takiyuddin replied: “That is up to him.
“If he has that intention, then that is up to him. Our conscience is clear. We are not involved with this,” added the Kota Bharu MP.
Malaysiakini has been trying to obtain a response from Nasharudin, through email, text messages, phone calls and fax, but is yet to receive a response.
