4th of May, a Chinese lady from Fujian had attempted to jump off from the pipes above the river after quarrelling with her husband. According to the news reported by the local media, the lady requested to check on her husband’s phone. However, the husband who gotten annoyed by her actions rejected her request.
As the lady was emotionally unstable after arguing with her husband, she ran out of the house and come to a river where there were pipes installed above the river. She ran on the pipes and threatened her husband by attempting to jump off from the pipes.
This incident that happened at a river nearby the Winner International Hotel in Quanzhou, Fujian had caught the attention of the public. She stood on the pipes and confronted her husband for more than half an hour. The lady’s family and her husband, as well as the policemen, had tried hard to comfort her and stop her from committing suicide. However, the situation seemed to have not gone for the better as she refused to go back to the safety.
One of the policemen even found a foam raft nearby the housing area and used it to rescue the lady immediately if she really did end up jumping off the pipes. As the lady refused to get down from the pipes, the policemen allowed the lady’s sister and her husband to comfort her from both ends of the pipes.
As the lady was distracted by her sister, her husband ran towards her and hugged her tightly and carried her away from the danger. Although the lady was struggling while being shifted to safety by her husband, she was saved because of her husband and the firemen. The husband-and-wife were then sent to the nearby police station for further case investigation.
