Police are looking for witnesses to the event of a hit and run on NKVE at 17km near Damansara on Monday evening, resulting in the death of a Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sungai Buloh student.
The unfortunate event took place at around 5.30 pm that day, Muhammed Anas Abdul Wahab, 22, died on the spot from severe injuries to the head.
Selangor Traffic Chief Deputy Superintendant Sahimi Husin said that the victim was believed to be traveling from his University in Sungai Buloh to Kapar, Klang.
“Upon arrival at the scene, Anas lost control of his motorcycle as the road was wet.
“An unidentified car came speeding from behind and rammed into the motorcyclist.”
As a result of the impact, the victim who sustained serious injuries to the head was pronounced dead at the scene, while the culprit escapes quickly.
“The body of Anas was brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.
“Thus, the police urged those who witnessed the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation and help track down the driver responsible for the death of Anas.”
