The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has traced the alleged flow of funds from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s personal account to an individual close to PAS, claimed PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli.
According to him, this was during MACC’s investigations into 1MDB.


“From that investigation, they traced the flow of funds to an individual close to the PAS leadership,” he added in a media statement this morning.
Therefore, Rafizi said there is no need for him to submit the evidence in his posession to MACC.
The Pandan lawmaker, who yesterday challenged PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to respond to his claim, said he would reveal the identity of the individual who purportedly received the funds in the next few weeks.
He was responding to PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, who denied the allegation and urged Rafizi to file a report with MACC if he has proof of this matter.
Najib has repeatedly denied abusing public funds for personal gain, and accused those who claim he took 1MDB money of conspiring to topple him from power.
Attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali has also cleared the prime minister of any wrongdoing and confirmed that the RM2.6 billion in Najib’s accounts was a donation from a Saudi royalty.
The government has also dimissed claims of a cover-up in the matter.
‘Umno, PAS will have to face fallout’


Meanwhile, Rafizi claimed that once he exposes the identity of the person who received the funds, both Umno and PAS would have to deal with the fallout.
“The Umno leadership will once again struggle with interfering in the justice administration of the country, if the attorney-general closes the case again even though the investigation papers are completed and evidence has been collected by the MACC,” he alleged.
Rafizi said the PAS leadership at every level would have to check whether they have received any form of financial aid, donation, charity or funding for whatever purpose from the said individual.
“Because there is a huge possibility that the funds came from the rakyat through 1MDB.
“As a party that claims to champion Islam, PAS needs to be more careful than any other party about the origins of their funding to avoid sources being deemed ‘syubhah’ (dubious),” he claimed.
Rafizi said he did not want to raise this issue at first, but claimed yesterday’s episode in parliament confirmed that the issue of strengthening the syariah courts has been dragged for over a year for the benefit of Najib.
He alleged that it is clear the amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355), which has been postponed three times, would continue to be used as bait by the prime minister.

He claimed that Act 355 issue has been used to ensure PAS remained neutral as the third force and silent on issues like 1MDB.

“If parliament meets for Budget 2018 in October, I believe PAS would once again abstain during voting on the budget for fear it would affect their understanding with Najib on the Act 355 issue,” he said.
As long as the Act 355 issue is not resolved, he said Najib would continue to have the upper hand for his political machinations by using PAS.
“That is why I believe it is my responsibility to face PAS and Umno head-on about these two issues so that the rakyat can go back to the more important issues, that is the rakyat being burdened with the rising cost of living, shrinking job opportunities and decreasing pay,” he added.

“The truth will out” is a piece of folk belief that people nibbling on the edges of the sensational resort to when they have hit a seeming dead-end.

In legal terms, one can be convicted of wrongdoing on the balance of probabilities, but not on speculation, however plausible.
So Rewcastle-Brown’s airing of what was being bruited about on the grapevine was, strictly speaking, as vaporous as morning mist.
Sans the potency of fact as backing, speculation is just that: mist
After Rewcastle-Brown aired the speculation on Sarawak Report, PAS countered that the story was a base canard but they were in no hurry to nail it in a court of law.
This was puzzling for two reasons.
First, the party was in the process of pushing in Parliament for further empowerment of Syariah courts, a campaign aimed, they argued, at combating supposedly pervasive moral turpitude in society.
Combatants against immorality must take quick umbrage of any imputation of immorality against them and sue for damage to their reputation.
The second reason why PAS’ tardiness in seeking legal recourse was surprising was that they have long projected themselves as guardians of Islamic rectitude.
Justified by ‘exigent service’?

It has not entered the realm of supportable Islamist conduct for it to be seen that an ingestion of RM90 million into the PAS coffers may be justified by some interpretation of the concept of “takeyah” – exigent service of an end that may justify illicit means for their achievement.
Thus no Islamist can be cavalier about any inference that he is on the take.
True, PAS kept saying that they were in the process of seeking legal redress, but after seven months of circuitous reasoning, neither Sarawak Report, Rewcastle-Brown, nor their latest accuser before Rafizi Ramli, former PAS vice-president Husam Musa, is in any legal jeopardy from their supposed mudslinging.
However, the truth, like buried gold which is useless unless unearthed, does indeed have a way resisting permanent interment.
But like Banquo’s ghost, it prefers to hover around suspects before it alights on the real thing.
All that buzzing appears to have shifted into sharpened focus with what MP for Pandan Rafizi Ramli, renowned distiller of the hidden, disclosed in Parliament’s lobby yesterday.
His disclosures had the features of a striptease. He has to be quoted in his own words because that’s the best way through the mist that has come to shroud the issue of the RM90 million.

“I put the question to Hadi whether or not he is confident that none of the… money from Najib’s account went to a figure who is closely associated with PAS.
“I have this information and since the general election is looming, we need to bring up this matter and (I will reveal this) in one or two weeks.

The balance of probabilities, given the Pandan legislator’s track record, is that Rafizi is on to something.

That cathartic flush that PAS MPs demonstrably felt when party president Hadi Awang tabled Act 355 yesterday may well turn out to be not the pinnacle of Islamic rectitude they professed but a precipice critics say they have been flirting with.

The U.S. attack on a Syrian air base came after years of heated debate and deliberation in Washington over intervention in the bloody civil war.

Chemical weapons have killed hundreds of people since the start of the conflict, with the U.N. blaming three attacks on the Syrian government and a fourth on the Islamic State group. One of the worst yet came Tuesday in rebel-held northern Idlib and killed dozens, including women and children.

That attack prompted President Donald Trump, on day 77 of his presidency, to dramatically shift U.S. policy, with the first direct U.S. attack on the Syrian government.

Pope Francis has called the suspected chemical weapons attack 'an unacceptable massacre.'

The pope said Wednesday that he was 'watching with horror at the latest events in Syria', and said he 'strongly deplored the unacceptable massacre.' 

French President Francois Hollande accused Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad of being responsible for the carnage.

'Those who support this regime can once again reflect on the enormity of their political, strategic and moral responsibility,' he said.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday branded the deadly suspected chemical attack in Syria a 'war crime' and demanded Russia and Iran put pressure on President Assad.  

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri says people should not be shocked by the chemical attack because the international community is allowing such acts to happen. 

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said that the use of chemical weapons is 'illegal and abhorrent.'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the world must act to rid Syria of chemical weapons.

Did you hear news going around saying that for the meantime do no consume any chicken meat? People in Sibu have stopped buying chicken wings after reports of scavengers dug out five containers of chicken wings disposed by the Customs Department at a site near Bukit Aup Park.The Customs took the drastic action to dispose of the chicken wings because they were imported without a permit from Netherlands. The chicken stall operators in all markets said business is down by as much as 80%.

It was learned that nearby villagers thought of this as a chance to make some money, they dug up the frozen meat the following day and sold the wings for as cheap as RM6 per kg! (Market price in Sibu is RM12 per kg.) Sia, 32, is one of the sellers at the central market said, “My supplier is a licensed importer but people were still worried. They asked whether it was safe to eat chicken wings. In the end, many did not buy.”


Not only is the public not buy imported chicken, they were even afraid of buying local ones!
On Tuesday, a man named Mike said his brother bought the chicken wings from some of the scavengers who came to his house in Kampung Jeriah, about 20km distance from Bukit Aup.
“They sold the wings at RM7 to my brother. It was cheap compared to the normal price of between RM10 and RM12 per kg,” said Mike.


These scavengers had been going house-to-house selling the wings as said by Mike. The Customs Department confiscated 40 containers and have disposed of 5 containers of chicken wings. The wings were sprayed with pesticide and Clorox before disposal.
Please be careful and try no to buy any chicken wings for the meantime until further notice.

It is not the first time hearing of conmen posing as bank officers, and citizens need to be wise not to fall into their traps!

Recently, a “Macau scam” syndicate is at large with the scammers posing as Maybank officers. They will randomly call people and start out by telling potential victims that they have an overdue personal loan with Maybank, to which most will reply they do not!

The scammers will use the excuse of someone has stolen their identity to take the loan under the account holders’ name if the victim denies that they have any loans with the bank, which has a big possibility of happening.

The victims are then asked to provide their personal details like identification card number and full names. This was mentioned by Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department deputy director, Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Kamaruddin Md Din.

The fraudster would then advise the victim to lodge a report with Bank Negara or the police and will provide a number for the victim to call. How convenient is that!

SAC Mohd Kamaruddin said, “The number given would appear authentic, but another scammer claiming to be a Bank Negara or police officer would answer the call.”

The fake officer would ask for information relating to the victim’s banking and credit card accounts. The scammers will then instruct the victim to transfer a certain amount of money to a third-party account on the pretext of safeguarding the victim’s money and investigation purposes.

The “officers” will emphasise to their victim not to inform anybody about this as it would jeopardise the investigation.

Maybank account holders are advised to remain alert and report to the police immediately if they receive such calls. Do not trust those “officers” that calls you, you could say “I am busy I will call you back later” and then contact your bank immediately and ask if they contacted you just now. If they did not, then you should be careful!

For all you Maybank account holders or if you know someone who does, beware of such scam going around! Spread the word and be careful!

The lady was in her right crossing at the traffic lights when the lights was green and safe to cross the road and the bastard on the motorcycle beat the red lights and knock her down and kicked her. I hope the police catch him and beat the shit out this guy. I have travelled and drove around all of Malaysia but the motorcyclist and motorist in Penang are crazy lot and beating red lights at traffic junctions is a normal play for them.

Put the fear in them and started charging them for murder, attempt murder and this will put fear in these road devils once for all. Police and courts should show no pity and if any politician protests, come election time vote him out.

The video shows the motorcyclist had all the intention to kill the lady cross the road and with intent is sufficient to charge the bastard for murder. Please also give him a sound beating and castrate him and break his legs and hands too. Make him suffer as much as possible before hanging him.

Yet another accident in Penang, this time a 58-year-old woman was hit by a motorcyclist in a hit and run incident in Pulau Tikus and has died.
A dashboard camera recorded the whole incident, in under 12-second the lady was hit by a speeding motorcycle. The video has gone viral and had over 36,000 shares on Facebook posted by Yuan Loong.

Foo Swee Wah, the victim, suffered severe head injuries and a broken leg in the 10 am incident earlier today and died at 8.45 pm.

George Town OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid urged the motorcyclist to turn himself in. The offense carries a jail term of between 2 and 10 years, a fine of up to RM20,000 and suspension of the person’s driving license.

“We have identified the motorcycle’s registration number and are tracing the owner,” Mior said. He also added that the case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless driving resulting in death.

MACC Arrests Three Footballers From The Malaysian Indian Football Association For Bribery

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested three footballers from the Malaysian Indian Football Association (MIFA) for allegedly taking bribes to fix the outcome of matches.
According to a source, the three players are believed to have received between RM10,000 and RM30,000 each from bookies to sell the matches in the Malaysian premier league.
“One of the suspects is a 29-year-old foreigner imported by MIFA, while the remaining two are local players aged 26 and 27.
“Initial investigations revealed the three suspects had raked in thousands of ringgit from match fixing, the past few years,” said the source.
MACC deputy chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrest and said the commission will not tolerate activities that puts the country’s sporting reputation to shame.
He said MACC will continue to monitor football players and will not hesitate to act against them, if need be.
