Hot Spot Targeted By ISIS
Bangsar, Solaris and Bukit Bintang are among the locations targeted
by terror groups to spread fear in the country.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor
said the authorities were aware of the threats and are on standby for any
possibilities.
He said the ministry’s enforcement teams will work together with
the police, as part of the efforts in beefing up security.
“The threats are th
ere and we are very well aware of this, so we
are on standby for any possible event.
“Among the places that they are targeting include the Kuala Lumpur
city Centre, Bukit Bintang, Publika, Solaris, Hartamas, Bangsar and The Curve.
This was confirmed by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri
Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, who cited an intelligence report and said that the
7 areas are:

“We will also consider engaging the help of the Defence Ministry to
secure popular tourist and leisure hotspots if the need arises,” he said after
kicking off the FT flag campaign in conjunction with the upcoming FT Day
celebration on Feb 1, here, today.
He said the motive of this group is to destabilise popular tourist
countries and create fear, similar to the recent attack in the Indonesian capital of
Jakarta.
