[SCAM ALERT]: Malaysian Woman Shares How She Was Scammed By An Instagram Boutique
We’ve all seen it.
A picture of a beautiful celebrity or Instagram model rocking the perfect dress slides down your Instagram feed and you are thinking “I have got to have that dress!”
So you click the link in the bio to place an order ( for that perfect dress and a few other). You are excited and you cannot wait to get your order in the mail.
A few days later, you realize that you never got a tracking number. So you don’t even know if your order has been shipped yet. So you text/call the seller. But no one ever answers.
You contact them asking about your order. Days later, no one has replied you. A few weeks have gone by and your order should have arrived by now. You gave up begging the seller and you demand a refund. In return, the store owner blocks you and deletes your comments. Months go by and you never get your order OR your money back……WTF!?
Almost every time or sometimes in our every day lives we often hear about scam stories, fraudsters duping people and making them victims of their scams; but we pay no attention or less attention to them until we are affected by it.
Facebook user, SyaSya Simon shared her story of how she was scammed by an Instagram boutique named (@girleethaigoboutique)
(@girleethaigoboutique) is an Instagram page that sells clothes, shoes and bags online. The Instagram page (@girleethaigoboutique) claims to deliver goods to buyers from Malaysia and has advised them to send a DM or Direct Message via WeChat to place orders.
