An aviation enthusiast filmed three terrifying landings in severe crosswinds at the Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport.
Pilots flying in to the airport, renamed earlier this year when a statue of the Real Madrid star was placed in the atrium, often have to navigate difficult landings because of the high winds coming in from the Atlantic Ocean.
In the new video, uploaded to YouTube by Samuel Possos, crosswinds cause havoc for a Primera pilot arriving at the island off the northwest coast of Africa.

As the plane's wings dip left to right, the pilot struggles to land the aircraft.

As one aircraft descends towards the same runway, it teeters from side to side as well as the nose of the plane swinging scarily up and down
The second plane filmed by Mr Possos has an even bumpier ride.
As the aircraft descends towards the same runway, it teeters from side to side as well as the nose of the plane swinging scarily up and down.
The wings wobble dangerously as the pilot nears the runway, eventually smacking down on to tarmac and seeming to bounce along it before finally slowing down.

A third plane threatened to spiral out of control too.
The left wheel touched down on the runway almost a full second before the right wheel - demonstrating the angle at which the pilot was forced to land in such difficult conditions.
All planes landed safely thanks to the skill and experience of the pilots.
