Kick Zakir Naik out of the country immediately

I refer to the Facebook status of the Mufti of Perlis (hereby referred to as ‘the Mufti’), Dr Asri,  in which he hurt the sentiments of all Indians without any understanding and its facts.

In his statement, the Mufti had equated Indians to a bunch of people who pray and worship cows as God.

This degrading statement is clearly a distortion of the Hindu belief whereby a cow is seen as sacred, but not WORSHIPPED AS GOD as per the Mufti here.

In other words, a cow helped the Hindus those days to live by giving milk, helping the farmer to plough the land and so on.

It is shocking because this is coming from a respectable Mufti who has apparently was aghast over the criticisms levelled at the Government for giving Dr Zakir Naik a PR status in our country.

The Dr Zakir Naik saga is a very delicate issue and it is best that proper channels are used to address this issue.

Proper clarifications are needed as to  : 

1) why Malaysia is keeping a fugitive who already has two arrest warrants issued in India

2) the reason why Dr Zakir Naik was given a PR

3) the constant political statements made by Dr Zakir Naik despite the fact that he is merely a Islamic scholar and most importantly, not a Malaysian voter to have an opinion on Malaysian politics.

Who is Zakir to talk about the political situation of the country to even suggest who UMNO should work with? Does he know how BN was formed and what the Federal Constitution says. Just because he got PR status does not give him the right to poke his nose into the political affairs of the country.

Everyone are subject to abide by the laws that we have and, we cannot keep quiet and watch one unscrupulous foreigner having PR status condemning other religion is the last thing we wanted. He is spreading hatred through his preaching which is dangerous for country like Malaysia where the multiracial society are living in peace and harmony.

Zakir Naik is free to talk about his own religion but it does not give him the right to talk and condemn other religions.

We do not condone to this and believe PDRM would enforce the available laws to arrest him before he causes any further damage in the country which will also destroy the political stability and weaken the National Security of the country.

Leaders of both sides should work together to kick Zakir Naik out of the country immediately. We do not need a terrorist living in Malaysia.
