Ex-MHS: PM Najib’s April fool trick on
Malaysian Indians
Hindraf condemns the announcement by PM Najib of yet another “National Bleuprint for Indians” in Chennai yesterday. This is another attempt by Najib to dupe and give false hopes and promises to the marginalised Malaysian Indian community. Time again Najib has proven that he is not a man of honour, deceitful, and would do anything just to get the Indian community’s votes when it comes to elections. His act of announcing a new National blueprint for Indians is disgraceful and insult to the intelligence of ordinary Malaysian Indians.
He has not made good the blueprint he announced with HINDRAF signed in 2013 for a 4.2 billion ringgit development programs for the marginalised especially those displaced 800,000 Indians from the estates. He appointed me to the Senate and as Deputy Minister to carry out those programs laid out in the blueprint with promises of a Unit with full executive powers under his PMO. But after 8 months I realised he was just hoodwinking the Malaysian Indians with empty promises that help was on the way through the HINDRAF blueprint. I warned him many times that I would resign from all positions if he does not fulfil his promises. He kept giving me empty promises and ultimately I took the principled stand of resigning.
Najib panicked after my resignation and 2 months later announced SEDIC headed by a University academic who is being used to dish out peanuts to the Indian NGO’s under the pretext of development programs. Most of the NGO’s are MIC and BN linked organisations and there is no mechanism to check the 100 or so million ringgit dished out to the “community”. Najib believes Indians are fools who would be happy if few thousand ringgits are thrown at them.
Najib takes the view that Indian NGO leaders can be pacified with funds for their organisations which in turn would camouflage his failures to carry our real programs for the community under the National Development Policy.
MIC is a disgrace to the Indian community as it now appears they seem to be stealing the idea of HINDRAF’s blueprint after having failed the community for 60 years. Najib and MIC are a disgrace and deceptive, not real leaders nor men of honour who keep their words to the community. They are nothing but betrayers of the community and are now resorting to new adventures of hoodwinking the Malaysian Indians. We will do everything possible to expose their gimmick and cheat of the community.
The Indians have been sidelined from the mainstream development of the country. They should be placed in the national economic programs and in this regards the recommendations of the World Bank to address the displaced 800,000 Indians from estates should be met. Not allocations of funds to their crony NGO’s and political parties and make a huge cry of the false government initiatives towards the Indian community.
Wake up Najib. Your cheat has been exposed after you failed to fulfil your MOU with Hindraf despite publicly signing the document before millions of Malaysians who watched you apologizing to the Indian community for BN’s failures from time of independence. Do you expect them to believe in you now?
