Penang Motocyclist Who Rode Against Traffic Killed With Head-On Collision!!

Why did he do this, driving against traffic unless he had a death wish or was in a hurry? Very sad for the family and they will never know and hope they can find closures

Penang Motocyclist Who Rode Against Traffic Killed With Head-On Collision!!

Earlier today about 4 am, we lost another Penangite on the well known Penang Bridge. Wireman Tan Choon Wah lived separately from his family on the island to avoid crossing the Penang Bridge on daily basis.
George Town OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said investigations found that Tan was killed in a head-on collision with a car at KM5.7 on the Penang Bridge, he was riding against the traffic flow, adding that he died on the spot.
“We are unclear as to why he was riding against traffic. The accident occurred on the mainland-bound direction,” he added.

The deceased’s son, Chee Kien, 37, was informed of his father’s death at about 5 am by the police.
Tan’s body has been sent to the Penang Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem. His son said that Tan could possibly have left the island early in order to join the family for Qing Ming (All Soul’s Day) prayers in Bukit Mertajam.

“My father did not own a car so he rode the motorcycle,” he added.
Condolences to Chee Kien and family for their father’s death, rest in peace Tan Choon Wah.
