Meet The Kind Malaysian Man Who Sold His Proton Iswara For Only 10 Cents!

He with his small act of selfless generosity and restore hope in humanity and there are many more out there like him. Bravo good job and God will bless you

Few months back, a Malaysian Indian man named J Senthil Kumar decided to sell off his car which he had been using for the last 14 years, after he bought a new one in 2015. He went to inquire how much he would get if he traded in the car to a used car dealer.

“I put off my plans to sell the car when the used car dealer told me that the car can only be sold for RM2,000. Actually, I was reluctant to sell the car as it had a lot contributions since I was in college.”

“I thought it would be great if I can give away the car for free to anyone who needs it,” he said.

After some consideration, Senthil finally gave his car away for only 10 sen to local social activist, Kuan Chee Heng and trusted that it will be in good hands.

Kuan is known for his ’10-sen initiatives’ where he would offer services such as ferrying the sick, disabled and poor for only 10 sens and “selling” household items for 10 sen each.

Later, Kuan introduced him to a single mother living in Taman Pingggiran Subang, Selangor. She was the one who received his car. It was reported that Senthil never knew who she was in the beginning as he didn’t question Kuan on who will be receiving the car, hoping and knowing that the social activist will pass the car to someone who really needs it.

It was only after he was introduced to the single mother that Senthil got to know about the woman’s living conditions. She has been living in a low cost flat after her husband passed away about six years ago.

“Although she is a Malay, I didn’t mind helping as they were in need. I only found out that a single mother received the car when I saw it on Mr Kuan’s social media account,” he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.

“For me, if the intention is to help others, there is no need to look at the race or religion of others. Help should be given from one human being to another,” he said.

He reportedly said that he wanted to give away the car for free but agreed to sell the car for 10 sen as a symbolic gesture. He still keeps the 10 sen coin he received as a memorabilia.

Senthil’s generosity has enabled a family to commute more conveniently around the city.

The new owner of the Proton Iswara, Rohaya Md Isa, is extremely grateful to receive the car that has provided much comfort for her family despite it being in a used condition.  It was reported that Rohaya uses the car to send her children to school and also to get to the hospital for her follow-up treatment for cancer.

“I didn’t know who donated the car, and I just found out that he is of a different race. How pure is his heart to help our family. Thank you so much,“ she reportedly said

We need more people like Senthil and Mr Kuan in this world!
