Mystery wreckage washes up on beach

A massive piece of wreckage has been discovered in the lagoon of Vavau Beach, south of Upolu. 

 A concerned member of the public, Phillip Marsden, alerted the Samoa Observer about the finding yesterday.

Mr. Marsden had travelled to the secluded beach on Sunday afternoon with his mates when the astonishing discovery was made.  

Of course, like most people, the group inspected the massive piece of debris floating around. 

 “Upon discovery, there was a lose car battery placed on top of the piece,” he said. 

“Together with my friends, we removed the battery and placed it on the beach - not ideal, but at least it won’t contaminate the water anymore. 

“There are lose electronic wires and rubber pipes dangling from the piece - the entire piece has clearly been torn off a larger structure.”
