Fuel prices take effect from
midnight tonight
PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices are up
for the third week of April, with RON95 petrol going up to RM2.24 per litre, up
eight sen from RM2.16 last week, RON97 petrol at RM2.52, up nine sen from
RM2.43.
The price of diesel is also up by
eight sen to RM2.16 per litre.
The new prices will come into effect
from midnight and will remain until April 19.
The new prices were posted on the
domestic trade, co-operatives and consumerism ministry Facebook page today.
Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and
Consumerism Minister Hamzah Zainudin had previously said weekly announcements
will be made on fuel pricing under the new weekly pricing mechanism since the
first week of April onwards.
The petrol prices, determined by a
managed float system, will be announced weekly on Wednesday instead of monthly
and take effect after midnight.
