RON95 up 3 sen, RON97 up 2 sen and diesel up 5 sen
This marks the second consecutive week fuel prices have gone up.
PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices are up for the third week in a row, with RON95 petrol at RM2.27 per litre from RM2.24, and RON97 at RM2.54 from RM2.52.
Diesel prices have also gone up to RM2.21 per litre from RM2.16 last week.
The domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry tweeted the new prices, which will come into effect at midnight tonight.
The weekly petrol and diesel prices fixed by the government are announced every Wednesday. Prices come into effect after midnight.
The government had earlier implemented fixing monthly prices on a managed float system by using the “Automatic Pricing Mechanism” (APM), which was set in 1983.
The fixing of monthly managed float prices began in December 2014.
