Oil prices is not about supply and demand because bulk of oil comes from volatile areas and pass thru straits of Hormuz which is between Iran and Oman and very narrow. Just dink to Super tankers the the straits is blocked. It is the uncertainty of oil supply which drives up the price of oil. There is a war between Yemen and Saudi Arabia going on and it is an Iran proxy the Shia tribesmen from Yemen against Saudi Arabia.

 The Yemen repels have already occupied 3 border provinces of Saudi Arabia and inflicting untold damage and killing of Saudi troops of the Saudi army. They have the capacity to fire modified Scud missiles to Jeddah Riyal and other Saudi Arabia cities. This is not reported in the Malaysian news. The occupied provinces which Yemen captured are actually Yemen provinces occupied by Saudi in 1932 and annexed in 2000. The Egyptian government refused to send troops to help Saudis and Saudis cut off oil supply (free) to the Egyptians. The Egyptians know if send troops to Yemen sure die in large numbers. 

The Saudi province bordering Kuwait and Iraq produces almost 90 % of Saudi oil and are a Shia majority area and just across the Persian Gulf is Iran and same with Bahrain with largest overseas American naval base is Middle East and majority Shia. Trump already said if he wins he is going to disengage from Middle East politics except Israel and let the Arabs and Iranians fight each other. It is going to happen sooner than later the Saudi Iran war. When then happens full scale oil prices are going skyrocket and the Arabs will need weapons to fight and the Americans French British will be willing sellers at inflated prices. 

Sell Saudi tanks sell Iranians anti-tank middles sell Saudi jet fighters sell Iranians middles to shoot down jets. Finally when it becomes in manageable then they will nuke the Saudis and Iranians and the war is settled. The war already started in Yemen Iraq and Syria and Iranians are fighting a proxy war. The wild card of turkey as the president wants to bring the Othman empire back. What a mess and slaughter it is going to be and the Arabs and Iranians have themselves to blame and also neither them nor to smart Turks. This will be a war to finish all the wars
